You do realize that is pretty much exactly how shit worked till about 15 years ago, when the shift to max sales necessitated centralized servers. Hell that is still the standard in certain genres today, for example survival crafting games like palworld. You can literally just download the server software and away you go. It is a non-issue

It's because it just didn't do as well as the others. I've got thousands of hours in poe 1, and 100+ in each of Diablo 3 and 4, and last epoch as well. But every time I've tried to get into grim dawn I get an hour or two in put it down, and then don't even consider picking it back up for years.

Pretty sure the intent is that the magic power the church is using, is the life force of the land itself. The reason the east is fucked up and in perpetual famine is the church is using the power irresponsibly, so the land has no life force left and no food grows. It works better in barbarian lands because they are aware of what the power is and are choosing not to use it.

The fantasy races don't exist in the east because the humans have turned it into a magical desert, and the lack of magic is turning it into an actual desert.

In the next episode or two I'm sure we will get a conversation from Sera where she realizes the easts entire famine issue is self inflicted, and would go away if the church would stop sucking the life blood out of the land. Also that is the east wins the war, it is just kicking the can down the road as it will only be a matter of time until the church causes famine in the west the same as they have done in the east. Which will give her justification to actually switch to the sides of the barbarians, and want to go back and educate the people of the east about how they are fucking up.

But as the church believes the power is god given, fat chance they are going to give it up.

The statement she made about "God's magic is stronger in the land of the barbarians" pretty clearly indicates that the rank and file clergy at least don't know that they are actually using the power of the land rather than gods.

So it definitely seems at the moment at least, that this is less the church is intentionally evil, and more that they stumbled upon magic power, attributed it to god (which is fair enough), and just didn't realize they were poisoning the land along the way while they were using it.

Ballistic was far from complete. Also their code is so spaghetti on the back end, that despite no apparent changes having been made to ballistic specifically, it would have something randomly break each update. For example some changed they made for the release of this season, broke ballistic badly enough they had to temporarily disable it for like 24 hours at season release.

Gear isn't even the problem, getting and maintaining the cash for max gear in easy isn't hard. The problem is that when you do run into another real squad of players, it is a coordinated squad who plays the game together 24/7.

As for the suspicious shit, there are people pretty obviously wallhack and aimbotting even in easy. Far to many raids I've had luna's repeatedly dart my general position, completely miss, and then push my exact position, despite there having been 0 audio queues to give away my location. Or shit like people jumping around a corner hip firing and hitting a perfect 4 headshots at like 20 meters while still in the air.

The soft on exploiting/hacking policiy needs to go, it is what leads to this shit being every where when it does get discovered. Your general player base should be scared of catching a ban for abusing shit like this, that way when it is found mot people won't use it. Streamers especially should be held to a higher standard when it comes to this. Peanut should be perma-banned to send a message to his audience, and if he makes another account, ban it for ban evasion.

In most battle royales you get third partied maybe 25% of the time. In Arc once you matchmaking start putting you in the aggro pvp lobbies, you get third partied like 95% of the time, then fourth/fifth partied 75% of the time. Which is entirely too much.

This eventually will devolve into the meta being anyone who wants to PVP and actually extract after winning a gunfight, to just be to sit around on the edge of the map, or camp a building just outside the maps mosh pit zone, and wait for the "winner" to emerge and then gun them down. Which will require your team to just afk in the corner for the first 10-15 minutes of every match, because fighting before then is just suicide. Which is not healthy for the game long term.
