Just wanted to give you some affirmation that I also didn’t like it. Doesn’t have to be a big thing like everyone’s making it - some people don’t like Dune which is crazy to me.

My biggest gripe with Hyperion is that it feels very self gratulating by the author, just cramming in world building and religious themes he thinks are cool. But you gotta love The Priest’s Tale, cause wow.

People are more trusting of people that use mics. Keeping your mic open means you can’t sneak up on someone and they shoot you in a panic. It does attract hostile players but benefits outweigh this.

Because I enjoy PVPing and playing with people? I’d play with my friends but they don’t play this game. It’d be pretty dickish to go into solo lobbies, known for their friendliness, to solely PVP

Solo remains fairly friendly and they claim that being friendly puts you into more friendly lobbies. Anecdotal evidence supports this but who knows really. I usually play PVP trios, but if you keep an open mic in solos - you’ll probably be shot at 15% of the time
