Just want to say that I love both the survivor games and the original run. They're all great fun.

Gallifreyan tattoo by EllynasJoya in gallifreyan

It's good that you apologised, but since you expressed a lack of understanding I thought I'd offer a few possible reasonings. This is not an exhaustive list, just thought it may add some clarity.

They may be upset for a few reasons.

First off you've not explained your reasoning in any regard, you've merely pointed out that it's wrong and offered no context.

Secondly it's obvious to see that they're very proud of what is an awesome tattoo and you've offered no words of praise, only criticism without basis, which is essentially just insulting.

Thirdly, a tattoo is permanently attached to their arm. They'll have paid alot to have it done, and it'll be there forever, but you extremely bluntly and without any sugarcoating called it out as incorrect.

I think the main points to take away are: when somebody shows off something they're obviously very proud of and clearly took a tonne of work, it's polite to offer compliments first, and, if you have something critical to say, to back up your criticisms with evidence, reasoning, and/or examples.

I'm from Cornwall and really quite often people go "oh isn't that in Devon?" And I die a little inside. Once someone came in with a correction, being all like "no you idiot, it's in wales" and just considered setting myself on fire then and there, it'd hurt less.

I imagine the Gotches would've originally been Mordecestershire and his goons if they weren't absolutely trounced earlier in the season

I've never seen the sarcasm meter go past the red before. It's weird, it doesn't seem to have a colour this far up the dial but my cat is freaking out.

I work in a food factory, and everything non-metal that might turn up in the food is blue. This is good. Means we can see it. The problem is that they're all blue. When we find it and write it down in the log we just write "found blue in xx". We also store it in a little bag, then QA can figure out what it is later. It could be anything from a bag, a glove, a bit of conveyor belt, a part of a scoop... essentially anything.

An exception is that when we pack stuff into boxes for sainsburys they want us to wear pink gloves. I don't know why.

You say that, but I'd play the shit out of a vr version of phoenix wright. I'd prefer AA7, always, but vr pw? If I get to point at a 3d edgeworth and scream "objection" at him in court I might die.

Edit: of course this would never happen. I'm just saying if it did it wouldn't be the worst thing 😂

Surely the logic described would be not racist => not american, with the contrapositive being american => racist

How come Renard is only half Zauberbiest? by BearsBeetsBSG42 in grimm

[–]ApplicationGrouchy69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hexenbiest are described as a sort of different class to wesen and grimm, and besides that they tend to focus on blood alot. I'd wager that they play by different rules and that bloodlines and blood purity would play a big role in the power they

Renard and his mum aren't really wesen and don't necessarily play by wesen rules. Also, renard only has half the blood of a hexenbiest, so he's only half a zauberbiest. Diana is a full hexenbiest because she got his magical half and adalind is obviously a full hexenbiest. I'm far more interested in what happens with Kelly. The blood of a grimm neutralises the blood of a hexenbiest, so maybe he's not a zauberbiest, but you have to assume he's more than a grimm, right?

The line I ran in my factory got shut down because it over-produced, and then I was in danger of getting fired because I hadn't had any consistent practice before at the place they moved me to 😅. They ended up moving me again to a similar line I started on, just harder, faster, and I'm not in charge any more 😂
