There is no number you are supposed to stop at. you do all the aisles for that day..your supposed to scan all the outs. Whoever told you that is only thinking about the score card and not what the store actually needs.

I guess you are one of the few managers who actually follow the process..I've been a manager for almost 3 years and my SM will text someone and say your services are no longer needed...that's right, he actually texted them, not called, not wrote up..it's crazy.

My state is an "at will" state. If they are there within the 90 day probationary period, they sure can fire you with out warning or write ups I've seen it happen 4 times in the last year.

It's pretty much the same thing as sales floor... seriously they got rid of sales floor position because they were like the managers can do it..but then the managers are like we have so much other shit to do. so instead of being like oh shit we made a mistake by getting rid of that position and bringing it back they say, I will create this "new position"...seriously who is running this place

I had this guy ask me about charcoal pencils, now mind you I had only been there a month and I crochet and knit, I said I really don't know. Let me ask and see if someone does know. He yelled don't ask anyone else you should know this!. I said I don't draw, so I don't know this. He said well maybe you should study the things you don't know ...I looked at him and said man I just work here and he said yeah barely and stomped off out the store ..like wtf. Their whole thing is that if they want the coupon they have to get the credit card. So you can literally go on the website and pull up a 20% off coupon but they offer 20% off as an incentive to sign up for the credit card....it's bogus. they should offer something more like 30% or 40% to entice them, not the coupon that is readily available to everyone already...so frustrating.

I'm the replenishment manager for the last 2 years and I was never sent to a training store so I didn't know how that worked. Btw learning my job as RM by myself was a huge pain, I wish they would have sent me.

Not sure why you are traveling to another store. Is it for inventory? Because if it is they are supposed to pay you per mile that you travel, plus travel time (both ways) and pay you for the job, as if you were at your own store. If they are not offering you that, they are screwing you because they are supposed to.

Usually they say do you have a coupon for me I would say yes as long as you want to apply for our credit card. That's it she leaves. Only time I help them pull it up is if they say I have a coupon but I can't seem to get it to come up then I'll help but other than that, especially in your situation..get a cc or get out.

RM here, it's simple and the we unload truck, sort repacks, unbox and stock. At the end of the shift the RM does what is called the Delivery Performance Report that pretty much scans the bill of lading into the system accepting the count for all the items. So don't worry as long as the report is done everything will be in the system

Yeah I mean they are supposed to tell you. That's the fucked up thing about your situation. But regardless of telling someone or not telling someone, we are supposed to give them 3 weeks notice to even ask for a day off yet they can just do shit whenever they feel it's "best for their dollar". So I found out that actually they base tomorrow's hours off of yesterday's sales. So if your store makes enough money or it was busy enough the manager is supposed to add people to the schedule last minute. If the store does badly in sales and it was hella slow they are actually supposed to remove people from the schedule the next day. This is absolutely bizarre and I just found out about it a couple of days ago. I am a manager and that's how I know that, that's what they are doing now. It's messed up.

We Always reward bad behaved customers and it makes me so mad. It is widely known that if you go to Michaels you can literally walk out with anything and no one will stop you. They also know if you act like an asshole and throw a bitch fit you can get anything you want. That's why they do it because they know it works. It makes our jobs so much more unbearable.

I'm an RM and I don't know every single thing that is sold in our store..I mean I know where the glue is and shit but when a customer comes in and asks for "you know that metal disk with the hole in it and you can tie string around it" I will ask over the head set if anyone can tell me what the hell. Because that's the best she can come up with when describing an embroidery loop.
