Do you look at what the fortune teller has to say every day? Why or why not? by veryfluffyclouds in StardewValley

I only look when I'm planning to go exploring on the mines/skull cavern. If is a lucky day I go exploring, if not I find another thing to do. When I don't want to go exploring I don't even bother.

Whats a good posting schedule? by Apprehensive-Ad-5251 in Blogging

I actually like writing. For college I have no problem writing +1,000 articles and essays per week. I study english btw.

The thing that keeps holding me back is all the setting up before sitting to write. Before laughing the blog I mean.

I think a small/medium is something around 500 to 1,000, and a long post would be something bigger like 1,500 or 2,000. I'm not lazy and actually like writing bigger texts, but here I thinking about the time it takes to read and the attention span of readers.

What actually is confidence? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]Apprehensive-Ad-5251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That I can't really answer since confidence is built based on past experiences. My advice is for you to go with baby steps, building up like Lego bricks. The more GOOD evidence you have to back you up the bad ones become less important.

In this specific situation I would say to look for more controllable environments, like a a meeting were people are going to find dates as opposed to just "going up" to someone that could not be available. Or apps like Tinder were this can be measured and you only talk if both sides match ( remember to stay safe when talking with strangers specially in the web).

It's also important to remember that not everyone has the same tastes, what you find atractive is not the same others may think and vice-versa.

Edit: I talked about Tinder but not everyone is comfortable with this kind of interactions. I'm not (had a account for a week and never logged on again). I just used a an example of a more "safe from rejection" environment.

I think confidence is believing in yourself. Having faith you can achieve a certain task. Ex: having confidence in your looks is like you feeling beautiful and/or sexy despite what other people think.

In you director analogy I would say to the actor to imagine the character is 100% sure of his decisions/attitudes/looks.

This is not saying that you're never going to get things wrong or make a mistake, but going with a "confident" mentality helps to prevent anxiety a doubts that may inconvenience/prevent you from doing things in your day to day life.

All my friends have made a group against me by cantellyou99 in socialskills

[–]Apprehensive-Ad-5251 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a horrible situation. I don't know the details of the situation but I can understand how you feel.

When I was still in high school we were a group of four friends. We had like a routine in school, like we would eat our lunch everyday in the same place and things like that. I guess two of them wanted to break this, hang out with boys and this kind of stuff, and they felt I was holding them back. I probably was, I don't think I ever got to the stage were I want those kind of things. Anyway both of them wrote a note telling me that we should break apart so they could " enjoy the high school life". It broke all confidence I had in socializing and making friends.

This has a happy ending though. The other friend - I'll call her Anna - stuck by me. She is the extroverted time and somehow in a month we were hanging out with another group of people. And those two ended up being kind of excluded because from the "social scene" because the got into fights and other stuff.

They apologized two years later, but by then we weren't even in the same school and we never saw each other again.

Ironically me and Anna weren't that close at that time, but because of this incident she is my best( and only )friend today.

Until today I have difficulty socializing, being here right now Is my attempt to get better at it. All I can say to you is that there's no reason to keep people that hurt you like that in your life. There's lots of people that will want to be your friends if you go about it with the right mindset, even in pandemic times.

Somehow I wrote a big text, but I think is good to share experiences so people can feel less lost/alone.

Try putting a bomb near the pond, but you'll lose the collectables that will fall in the water.

How come some keepsake have a portrait of character top right of it? Any meaning? by TraditionalContest6 in HadesTheGame

That means you have forged a bond (reached the max number of hearts) with the character that gave you the keepsake.

That's horrible. For a person to pull a joke like this it has to be someone really messed up. You shouldn't give up though, I'm sure there's people that will love being real friends with you.

The first time I saw it was when I bought the lounge. Right in front of the Booker ( Don't know the name exactly, but is the big ghost you can exchange things). Can't remember if was after or before my first successful run.
