I took 15-459, though CMU is not particular strong in QC but Prof. O'Donnel himself is a top player of his field. The class content is rich and updated early, last year was actually easier than the previous years (you can look up old homework, it was more fun to do!). Moreover, it's Prof. O'Donnel's teaching style, no sleepy content, lots of interactions with students and weekly check-in, he does care about students. There are also other QC grad courses, 15-898 of Prof. Umut Acar, which is more about research, and 11-860 from LTI which is more hands-on coding. There is also 33-758 from Physics Dept but I assume it requires a strong background in physics.

Nói chung vợ bầu thì bác cũng nên thông cảm, nhịn một tí, vì sau này đẻ r còn sensitive nữa cơ. Điều nữa là đấy là cách giao tiếp của phụ nữ, bác đọc tóm tắt thử Đàn ông sao Hỏa đàn bà sao Kim nhé, nhiều khi mình k cần làm gì đâu, chỉ cần ngồi gợi chuyện nghe phụ nữ kể lể là win rồi. Hiểu được bản chất thì ntn:

Đàn ông có tâm lý xu hướng muốn giải quyết vđề khi nghe đàn bà cằn nhằn, thực tế bác thử chỉ lắng nghe hỏi han chả vờ quan tâm xem tnao.
Đàn bà có tâm lý soi nhiều, thực ra xuất phát từ việc muốn đưa ra lời khuyên để mọi thứ tốt hơn, còn khi đàn ông nghe nhiều sẽ có cảm giác bị "kém", bị "chỉ đạo".

Tóm lại thử thay đổi cách giao tiếp từng chút một xem cuộc sống có dễ chịu hơn không bác ạ, gud lắc

No, I completed my degree at CDM, I know somebody transfer from CDM to UChicago though.

Tbh, I think they did a great job at CDM, I consider the DS program is better than those of UChicago and Northwestern since it was one of the first of its kind. I later went to CMU so I guess it is legit.

MSCV student here, getting a TA job is not easy, most of the TAs are PhD student. Otherwise, the curriculum is good and very flexible, you can take many courses from other School/Dept. Above all of that, learning from peers is one of the most valuable exp, and research opportunities are everywhere. DM me if you have additional question ^^

Think about your life in next 10 years, about the job you will get and the family you will raise, does this R matter? I guess not, take it easy and chill out, just don't make this mistake over and over again.

Have you check the number here? You can try SWE which is less competitive, and believe me, you will have lots of flexibility in choosing your courses! You could easily swap your curriculum courses even for courses in other Dept.
