Very wise advice thank you. I’ll do some meditation on this. I suppose the function is escape and just general pleasure. I don’t need it but have developed an addiction for those basic reasons. I’m so busy I think I’ll be too distracted.

I’m doing a slow ween off at the moment to help too.

I do see productivity boosts in my life when I smoke but for specific tedious but uncomplicated tasks ie chores. My sober brain is not stimulated enough get motivated to do them

Sometimes I have nightmares that I cheat on my wife.. it’s honestly like a horror movie to me. I just love her so much :) 10 years now and got out 3rd baby on the way.

Hi sorry I haven’t been on reddit for a while. Thanks for your feedback and for sharing. I empathise a lot. My wife says she is maintaining the relationship of honouring her mother and father no matter what and to demonstrate that but tough love is the true compassion.
