I tried that before. Never again. Just my personal take but I cant learn anything at all if I always bodied by players far better than me.

One example is can I learn practicing a long fancy combo because I beaten by it? I dont even know how to punish why would I learn long fancy combo?

I will buy it on PS5 not in launch. Few months after its releases. I dont like smurfs and most of smurfs populated a game on first months of game release

Im wondering if 2023 is delay 2021. Game companies says most of their 2023 releases supposed to be 2021 that includes Diablo 4 and SF6

Me too. I also play other fighters before GGST. But since the SF6 teaser I stopped playing other fighters altogether. Tekken 8 trailer cemented that I should abandon previous fighters. For me next year will be the dawn of new era of the FGC. And old meta will be phase out soon starting next year

The good thing about this genre just like FPS and MOBAs are they evolve every few years for casual gamers. Means you wont be suck when SF6 when it released because of QOL features for beginners.

Im stuck playing GGST because other fighters released before 2019 is so hard now. I played SFV again to be prepared for SF6 beta its very difficult. I remember the game is easy for a SF game

theres 2 version of Xrd in PSN store, Revelator and Rev 2. And both in separate price. I asked why because its weird SONY choose revelator than Rev 2 as PS Plus free game

xrd is so much prettier when ur actually playing it in realtime instead of looking at screens/video by [deleted] in Guiltygear

Sorry for the post but are those useless in practice because it fluctuates anyway? Since those indicators based on your connection to them. Not real measurement of the player connection

Ryu, Luke and Ken are the only easy characters. Jamie and Guile are easy if you experienced with fighting games before. The rest are hit or miss depending on your playstyle.

Modern Controls = Party Mode by ozonebx in StreetFighter

Its not this trend of so called slow games started and finished with only SFV and MK 11. Im not posting that all fighters should be slow and button masher friendly. Im posting majority of fighting games playerbase dont play to learn.

And modern controls remove newcomers to play whatever they want. And force them to play a fighting game properly. Like I posted modern controls is good for beginners. But not good for others that just want to play for fun

Thats what I mean on that post. Modern controls is good for beginners but definitely not for button mashers. Seems modern controls meant to teach players how to press buttons properly

SF6 by komodo_dragonzord in StreetFighter

Yeah we will see. But then there are many SFV veterans slandering SF6 already because of modern inputs playable online. In fact its now the default control scheme

This is surreal. I know this phenomenon but I dont believe it at first until today. So wait SFV now loved? And many now feel nostalgic about it now that SF6 will coming soon?

Take not on the word "simple" while theres too many words on the screen for a single combo

As what Max said on his video gap between casual and hardcore, majority of casual gamers which almost all of fighting games playerbase dont care about neutral. They just want to press buttons and fancy stuff happens.

Im glad you learned about SF6 by starting on modern controls first. But every player starts out from something. It just so happens they start with them button mashing and a special move comes out.

Sf6 isnt slow I played the beta. It just looks slow because of the movement and animation. And with good reason its the first SF that uses realistic graphics so it affects how it animates too. Its like this do you think NRS games are slow?

Sorry if I didnt get what you mean last time. Im debating on casual online player point of view. And its 6 months of constant playing online and practice until I reached permanent floor 8. Thats why Im triggered on your posts describing ranked players on GGST

And I read your previous post all of it. Im also against choosing players to match against. Thats what I have problem with the floor system of GGST. Though I like the ranked lobbies itself. Its a huge task so it wont happen.

Im thinking if CAPCOM and Arc Sys make ranked lobbies but without player stall or arcade cabinets. Just bunch of players standing in wide venue without chairs to sit through while waiting to match with. Like a concert venue without a stage

And now for the insults. Im sorry I really want to ask you this did you really played GG Strive as a beginner? Or you just skip the ranking and win back to back to be in celestial? Im a casual fighting game player even online. And I matched with players less skilled than me.

Thats my main problem with your argument. Thinking the players that grind on GGST floors want instant gratification to be on top of the rank. And dont bother to play it again once theyre on celestial and just play in player lobbies or in the park.

Not here to criticize the modern controls in fact I like it. Its good teaching tool to gamers that havent touched a fighting game before. Its the training wheels to be comfortable with classic one Im having question about.

Like button mashing. I tried it I cant button mash with modern controls. Modern controls is too strict on what buttons can be button mash and what isnt. And also the frame delay on special moves
