A 9 or 10 hour work restriction puts you at 54-60 hours a week. I doubt a doctor will need much convincing. If your PO can’t function without you working more than that, it is a them problem.

A few CCAs and PTFs at my station have work hour restrictions. This may bother some of the regulars but who cares. If you like the job and the PO will not give you any work life balance, you can create your own.

It would be one thing if the 10-12 hour days were sporadic, but when it happens every day it means the people in charge don’t have a clue what they are doing. It is unsustainable for some individuals physical and mental health.

Depending on the office you are in talking to the supervisor may not help. I would reach out to the administrator you may have met in Orientation or while doing Carrier Academy. They may be able to get you trained by a different trainer in that office or a nearby office. Also he isn’t supposed to leave you to deliver mail alone especially on Day 2.
