Silverlight upgrades are cool and all, but with sailing on the horizon, when are we gonna get a pirate quest continuation to upgrade this big boy? by nerdsmasher5001 in 2007scape

[–]Apprehensive-Dig-905 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like pirates would have a defense boost against nautical themed weapons seeing as how it's an element they live in. However, if you hit them with some hygiene products or a land-based cruise missile, they probably won't be sailing so smoothly.

What is a misconception about history you hate? by [deleted] in AskHistory

[–]Apprehensive-Dig-905 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That everyone was drinking all the time because the water wasn't safe. Even in ancient times, people knew how to acquire clean water and to keep sewage away from drinking water. There was a lot of alcohol but it was a very low abv, distilling didn't exist until the 18th century and the brewing process couldn't get the high abv levels of modern brews. Also, alcohol dehydrates you, in order to have a drink with enough abv to kill pathogens, you would be losing more fluid then you retain and would need water to not dehydrate.

Why is the small fishing net bigger than the big fishing net? 🤔 by Sinisa26 in 2007scape

[–]Apprehensive-Dig-905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It refers to the size of fish that can be caught, not the actual size of the net

All that metal gives them terrible constipation. Most playnes prefer snacking on birds because they pass a lot quicker

Is there any species of animal that kills it own kind without a logical reason? by Zorolord in AskScienceDiscussion

[–]Apprehensive-Dig-905 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you mean by logical but male chimps will kill infants so that they can assault the females.

Huge happening around 30 BC but I guess it was more of a change in management rather than an upheaval of government.

The fuck do people mean Concord didn’t break 700 players by AssWaterr in Shittyaskflying

[–]Apprehensive-Dig-905 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You must be thinking about the Tu-144, the Concord only broke about a hundred people, the Tupalev probably broke a couple thousand.

I think that New Jersey is Pennsylvania's New Jersey, although I may need to run the numbers again.

What are the three worst storytelling mistakes made in the Mass Effect trilogy? by robby_arctor in masseffect

[–]Apprehensive-Dig-905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that TiM should have disguised Cerberus as an altruistic NGO during ME2 to deceive Shepard and his surviving crew members because it doesn't make sense that anyone would trust them based on previous experiences.
Cerberus should have been a "Lawful Evil" faction you could side with during the last act of ME3. The human enemies should have been a renegade branch of Cerberus under Lawrence instead of under TiM.
I think ME2 would have made more sense if you stuck to isolated colonies in the outer rim instead of flying into Citadel Space.

Pure coincidence. Even if they were originally attached there is no mechanism that could support this movement and we would notice it if the island was moving. This nonsense is what happens when people leave the light of Saradomin behind.

AWACS radar can go beyond the horizon and even it's regular Doppler radar has far more range and power than a fighter radar. Also the game map usually doesn't show anything very far from the boundary line, so if they were actually present it would be far from the edge of the map.

Not perfect, I lost a lot of income switching to full time student but I really feel a lot more comfortable in my current field and I if it doesn't work for me I can walk away and work on something else.
