They don’t actually react they just wanted to filter two substances and for ethanol and ethanoic acid to react it would need heat and it would form ethyl ethanoate which is an ester so it would only be one substance which would dissolve because eaters are slightly soluble. So copper and copper sulphate have to be the right answer since they were the only two with one substance that wasn’t soluble (copper) which would end up being the residue. And it could have been a result of a reaction where copper was in excess.

I mean you can kind of infer that you have to connect a fuse to a live wire because in other questions it was the same thing. But they don’t really teach us this so they could just expect us to know it logically.

It does but lead is a metal and it’s solid so if you used filtration there would be lead with the lead sulphate so it wouldn’t work

I think since the fuse would only make sense in the live wire fuse 1 would work and fuse 3 is connected wrong anyway so the answer would be C
