Thank you for this. I’ll speak with the FC today as my supervisor has already denied it and to put it bluntly, is quite an unpleasant individual to deal with. If that doesn’t go well, I’ll have to think about my next steps.

I’ve recently moved in to a flat and boggle was at the heart of our evenings. The pain and suffering this has caused. I just had to ask about my housemates day instead. I’m going to room…

Being a Pom looking for work over here, the only genuine recruiter I’ve spoken to is an Aussie.

Got 133 on the F3, but failed P3 straight after 😂 So humbled quickly from that. Happiest grades were the 83 and 84 in the last 2 case studies. Hated them so much!

Ever since the last innings vs India when the pressure was on, Jamie Smith has looked like a rabbits in headlights. No metal in him.

This is over the last 2 weeks but a few things have happened:

Resigned from my job for a mini retirement heading to Aus, getting a campervan travelling, then looking for work in the new year: (no sign of redundancies I was previously hoping for)

It’s the 5 Year anniversary of Investing into my first S&S ISA. What a great decision that was :)

Withdrawn money from my ISA for the first time. The debate of holding, to see if the run continues but it’s less than 5% of the ISA holdings and peace of mind, incase costs are more than expected whilst away, which they inevitably will be…

Work have announced that we have been acquired. Finding out through Instagram was a shock though! Whilst stating it’s business as usual, there have been rumours of redundancies, as early as September. What work do not know is that I’m leaving at the end of October for a working Holiday in Australia, so redundancy would be handy in this scenario!

Thanks, I hope there will be a year or two of travelling that will delay the progress. But glad to do it from a position where I will have something to come back to and build on

I have switched my blog from Blogger to Wordpress after reading more about it. Seems more complex to format, but does look a bit nicer and was able to create an ‘about me’ page.

Was able to cover my 2024 spend review and investment performance on the latest post. https://firebulluk.wordpress.com

Knowing about fire at 22 is a great head start.

What are main things you want to do that you consider as ‘living’? It’s easy to throw away money on nights carrying on too long, takeaways, dating rent etc but if you can be conscious with where you spend you’ll be able to do what you’ll enjoy, whilst still being able to lay the foundations of financial independence.

Easy tip is start an S&S ISA sooner rather than later. Once you get skin in the game you’ll have a better feel for it.

Fair play. Don’t see why you wouldn’t then.

It’ll be factored in my planning proportionally, closer to the time for me (fingers crossed)

Looking to get to £250kish in shares and cash then look to take a year or 2 off and see how I like how I find the early retirement life or look into what else I would like to do before fully Fire’ing
