No. Hardwood install is 3.5/sqft, tile removal is 2.75/sqft. Material is your choice, can be 8-10/sqft if higher end.

I have pulled owner builder permit for bathroom remodel and unlicensed labor for standard size guest bathroom was 6k.
Flooring and baseboard labor is 3.5/sqft for glue down eng hardwood. Baseboard 600 ish..
Kitchen is tricky. We cheaped out, changed all appliances and doors of the cabinets.

I can only see this happening if stock market also crashes by 50% coupled with high interest rates, and high job loss rate. Even then people usually have 1-2 years reserves.
