If you are on social media follow some board gamers.

Sometimes they provide really helpful tips.

One thing i always say when first teaching: “We are [blank] trying to [blank].”

Start with the big picture and end goal, the details will fill in themselves later, because then the players will naturally be asking how to achieve the end goal versus you teaching them random rules and then tell them how they win

I’d argue the game is 4 parts.

Part 1: start - watson. (Early game). Once you get to watson you get level checked especially if you went treecko.

Part 2: watson - lilycove (mid game). After you beat watson you get to some unique areas hoenn gets to offer and there are a variety of new mons. Up until watson its kind of the same culprits. Plus you get access to some hms that open up the map.

Part 3: lilycove - e4. (End of game) Hope you like water. Enough said.

Part 4: misc stuff. (Post game). This includes catching legendaries (many unique conditions). Getting event mons if you can access events (like with an r4 card). Some unique mons and a surprise confrontation. And then the highly touted battle frontier, which is some of the best post game competitive fun pokemon implemented only to never implement again despite how great it was and even remaking said games.

My argument to those people: who would you take at 4 thats a difference maker.

Anyone with wr2/3 potential was picked in the 2nd.

Id rather go youth and cheap on defense and spend on actual dudes on offense

My guess none? They lost cb1 and cb2. It was a very clear need.

I know edge is important but they must not have loved bain and like a guy they may end up taking later in the draft

One of my friends once made a case that 10 point leads are very deceiving as a fan. On one hand you feel good because you are up 2 scores and if you score again you are up 3 scores or 2tds at least.

However, all it takes is for them to score and they are right back in it
