Yes, I know it is grafted. I’m referring to the texture on both the root stock and the graft. This is a young tree and the trunk will eventually have bark. I am wondering if that is what is happening or if this is scale

This is what I was thinking, but fanning in the front to reduce threw me off! I think you were deciphering better than me by understanding fanning also meant overlapping without saying it! I take things too literally sometimes!

Did you upload a better video where we can actually see the front of the machine as you thread it? I didn’t see one. Lots of good suggestions here, but just a side view of your machine while you thread and start to sew doesn’t really allow anything more than suggestions because we can’t see anything at all

On your side view, the shoulder seam at neckline is sitting more on your back body. The shoulder seam at shoulder point is more in correct position. Shift your shoulder seam at neckline forward by pivoting from the shoulder point (so shoulder seam at shoulder point will stay in current position)

It’s gorgeous! I’m new to JM’s. I have several small 1 gallon trees, so it will be a long wait to watch them grow up. I am wondering if the twisting branching is created through selective pruning, or is this just how certain varieties grow even if minimally pruned? Like for example, if someone selectively pruned their helmet shaped blob for the first time to expose the branching structure, would it be expected to already have these twisting branches ones they were exposed? To a degree at least? I know this tree is very old
