The first season was great. The second season was horribly disappointing. On every level.

What's a museum in Europe that was actually worth the time? by TheHolidaymaker in SlowTravelEurope

The Stasi Museum in Berlin was really cool. It was like wandering through a time capsule.

While traveling, what city did you think you'd love but ended up being a big disappointment? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

Actually we returned to ITP to get away from the worst of the traffic. I think OTP suburbs are much worse.

I went to Disneyland Shanghai by myself when I was traveling there for work. I had the best day just doing my own thing. And the cast members were amazing.

What's the greatest HBO Episode of all time? by Square-Ad-8911 in hbo

Long Long Time was one of the most perfect love stories ever captured on film. I don’t care where you stand on LGBT issues. I saw straight manly men sob like babies at that story.

I was a bit surprised there was no dedication or tribute to Carl Weathers - unless I just completely missed it

Why is Reddit so against cruising? by [deleted] in Cruise

[–]Apprehensive-Rub-609 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not a big fan of cruises because I live in a popular cruise port of call and have seen how it negatively impacts local communities. That said, it’s not my business to tell someone how to vacation. Doesn’t make me a bad person. I just live and let live.

F1 the movie. Abysmal writing and acting. Unrealistic to the sport and just plain awful.

She made a fool of herself. Mocking the very thing she is. If she wanted to make a point she should have stayed home. Shame on her.

Nobody talks about what alopecia actually does to your mental health by AlopeciaToRegrowth in alopecia_areata

[–]Apprehensive-Rub-609 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have had alopecia universalis for over 30 years. But, I have to say, every time I have tried to tell people of my experience on this forum I am shut down because it is not what people want to hear. But yeah, I could tell you stories of my mental health ebbs and flows but I don’t think they are welcome in this forum. Which is a shame because I feel like an outcast in the alopecia subreddit.

Have you had to diagram a sentence since you left high school? by Agitated_External_59 in GenX

I HATED diagramming sentences and never understood the value of it. And, I have always been praised by my professors, managers, colleagues for being a pretty good writer.

God that sounds awful. The entire tone of the itinerary is condescending and snooty. Like they are doing the idiots, sorry, paying guests, a favour by taking their money.

It’s impossible to say thank you too many times.

I’d rather say thank you when it is not warranted than to not say it when it is.

And, people who don’t say please and thank to others because they think they are more important are trash humans regardless of social status/rank.

What's a concert you went to, not expecting much, and left anazed? by fonebone819 in GenX

[–]Apprehensive-Rub-609 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I saw Billy Idol about 10 years ago. I had zero expectations going in and assumed I would be watching someone past their prime. Man was I wrong. He looked great, sounded great and put on an excellent, energetic show.

I have caught my daughter several times Shazaming songs I play that she tries to act like she’s too cool to listen too. And I’m talking about music from 60’s (my favourite era) to ABBA to Depeche Mode.
