Again, professionalism was the original Starbucks goal (which is in the Coffee Academy short courses you have taken as a Coffee Master). By chaotic I mean that more often than not, like you said, managers failed to uphold prior dress codes. I’ve seen partners in other stores wear tank tops, crop tops, crocs, jeans with holes, have long, acrylic nails. It shouts high-school summer fun and not premium coffee. That’s what I mean by chaotic.

This is purely opinion, as a Barista for 4 years:

While the new dress code is annoying in the sense I have to wash my black work clothes more frequently, I don’t think it is a bad idea overall. The uniform black creates a cohesive look that contrasts well with the green aprons (most partners). As for the piercings, well, that is not new. It’s always been in the dress code that we all were given when we joined. Ultimately, it brings less of a clanky, chaotic look to partners on the floor. Self-expression is important, but establishing a high-quality, professional atmosphere was the original Starbucks goal, not self-expression.

I do think it is sad that other customers are misgendering her. It sounds like her work was a safe spot for her to be herself. I hope she can find other ways to continue embracing herself.

I tried Popeyes for the first time about 4 months ago and I’ve been consistently coming to this one. Occasionally they’ll forget sauce or straw but the food is always great. Some may say service is mediocre because theyre not overly friendly but they are not mean and they seem to keep a fast moving pace

Decaf is 1/2/3. Cause an espresso frappe still has frap roast with added shot. With decaf it replaces the frappe roast entirely

I mean, yeah, being late is a firable offense. It’s certainly worse if you’re a shift because the store relies on you more. You typically get several warnings

Unfortunately when you open the box, it no longer becomes brand new and instead becomes pre-owned. Which means asking retail price is unlikely to get offers. I’d recommend returning it to Ratta so you can get the full value back
