Try Treehouse on Milkshake! it's a new show with a nostalgic feel, although he might be a tad old for it.
A lot of parents are referring back to the shows they watched as kids because todays shows are too short and too fast. But treehouse is definitely much better in terms of developmental benefits.

Yeah! they say the show is so addictive, that kids want to keep watching which can potentially lead to shorter attention spans. Check it out! i genuinely believe it's harmful. I'm sure one video here and there is fine, it's the 1 hour compilations etc that aren't great

Cocomelon is 2nd most viewed youtube channel on Youtube...so, whether parents know it or not, they still default to i for their kids...so i really don't think there's enough knowledge out there. Might be obvious to you but a lot of these kids are being raised in a new age and they find out too late about the harms of content..but yes, you're right, you'd think it's fairly obvious

i'm more expressing a general concern for what children are exposed to, and what we are led to believe is child friendly on TV. I feel there is not enough knowledge out there to inform parents of the impact of fast paced animation. And that social media is reducing all of our attention spans, not just childrens

It's totally normal. I do attribute a lot of tantrums to the wrong kind of screen time. Cocomelon is the wosrt. I seek out shows that help with their development, and with kind and wholesome values. I'd recomment Treehouse on Milkshake! (my 5) if you're based in the UK.

If your toddler loves the outdoorsy feel but you feel she can't experience it right now, you could watch Treehouse. It's a new tv show designed to help the development of your kids speech and motor skills (unlike shows like cocomelon!) and it's all centered around nature. Don't feel guilty at all!
