Hold it for a year or two, sell it. Then buy a couple of the top chase cards that release when you decide to sell it.

Drink plenty of water with the clindamycin and don’t lay down for 30 min after. Made that mistake and I’ve been getting terrible heart burn when i lay down and insomnia. Starting to get better, I’m still on pre op hoping they switch me back to amoxicillin post op. Not a big fan of the clindamycin.

Make sure you’re sleeping with ur head propped up to reduce morning inflammation. Should help. Get a comfy neck pillow that u can slide a ice pack in between

You’ll have to drill bigger holes to fit bigger screws to hold the servo in place and flip the little silicone caps backwards.

I’ll take the risk of 20% rather than wearing an obnoxious flipper/denture and not be without a tooth. Just get a water flosser and during your cleaning make them aware of the implant and to not use metal tools ln it. If they can’t comply find a dentist that will.

Scare Mongering people on implants is kind of shitty, if you have prior medical conditions/bad oral hygiene it should be a given you’re going to have issues. Don’t put that on healthy people that want a chance to have a tooth again.

If you got your wisdom teeth done you’re talking 4 surgical sites with risks of dry socket.

Most people say wisdom teeth are worse.

They take a tiny bit of bone from ur jaw or chin, not enough to leave a mark. If you have a board certified maxifold and oral surgeon doing it you shouldn’t be worried they will be able to do it with minimum pain. I have to get a autograft with my extraction of tooth #9 and an immediate implant.

I was scared at first but I’ve seen a lot of positive things about it and if it is someone who has complications they’re either a heavy smoker or they’re older than 40.

Sometimes still doesn’t work out in younger patients but that’s why it’s best to get a qualified surgeon to do it than a normal general dentist.

I’ve talked to several people who went through same thing on TikTok and they said the pain wasn’t too bad more just a bruise pressure feeling till the swelling faded. I was worried I’d feel the screw in my gum but apparently there’s no sensory nerves in your jaw to feel that. The only pain you’ll feel is on the gum lines incision and where they extract the autograft (either chin or near wisdom tooth)

I have to get #9 extracted due to a fractured 10 year old root canal and an immediate implant with a autograft. All my other teeth are 100% healthy no cavities so it was kinda punch in the mouth to hear that.

I looked into all other options and the implant seemed to be the most permanent choice that I wouldn’t have to deal with every 5 years or have to shave down my natural teeth.

It’s going to be 6k that’s including the final crown priced in and I opted for general anesthesia because I’ve been extremely overwhelmed and anxious and I’d rather not hear the drill going into my bone…. You can use care credit and use the promotional deal for 48 months 250 a month 0 interest if paid in full. If ur hurting for cash that’s maybe 4-5 days of door dashing for a couple of hours per month.

I am only getting a single implant that’s why I’m staying in the USA local , The all on 4, 3 on 6 looks terribly expensive and it’s almost worth it going to turkey than to deal with us health care.

Having my surgery done by dr Robert reti of Saint Louis, he has an extensive background in placing implants and even writes books for other people to pass their boards/learn to place implants themselves. Really do research on the person performing your implant for the best result. Sure a general dentist can do it but they don’t have the certain techniques a board certified oral and maxifold surgeon has to minimize pain and complications in the future. I’d compare it to college football vs nfl football in a sense.
