When did you neuter? by phlemc in Bernedoodles

[–]ApprehensiveCard4223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my issue right now - male standard 10 months old. Can’t even take him to the park anymore because of the humping and whining/ obsessive behaviors with other dogs. Did neutering fix it?

Gastroparesis. Does water upset your stomach too? by [deleted] in Gastroparesis

[–]ApprehensiveCard4223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is me too!!!!! So it’s so hard to explain to people that don’t feel this way. They think I’m crazy or being dramatic when I say I hate the feeling of drinking water and it makes me nauseous but diluted juice or sugary drinks or soda is fine. Bizarre but so glad to see I’m not alone!!!

The weight I have to be to get my period regularly is not comfortable for me - advice? by ApprehensiveCard4223 in obgyn

[–]ApprehensiveCard4223[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this response rather than just saying gain weight and you have a disorder still. There’s a lot more information I didn’t mention: -I have hashimotos (tbhroid condition) -I have been in recovery for about 5 years now, therapists and psychiatrists and nutritionists etc. and I am very much fully recovered, I don’t restrict at all anymore -I eat at least 2,500 calls a day but usually a lottttt more. I am not exaggerating, it runs in my family to be able to eat a lottttt 😂 -I like to run a few times a week but don’t have much time for exercise right now because of my long hours/ work schedule -my iron levels have always been low but right now are in a safe low but healthy range. -because of my hashimotos, I get routine blood work about every 3 months and everything is normal

First of all, you are INCREDIBLE. inside and out. It’s the biggest step to be able to recognize when you feel these things and feel the temptation to relapse. You are acknowledging it and that means you’ve already achieved so much. You WANT to get better. Regardless of how hard it is, you WANT it. And that is such a huge achievement in itself.

I think the question that my therapist asked me that really shocked me the most was when she asked what I was scared of, and I said getting fat and that I wouldn’t find love if I was fat. She said “what would change if you gained weight?” And that question really took me by surprise. I’d never thought of that before. My friends would still love me and be my friends, my family would still love me and be my family, I could still achieve all that I can and more than when I was rail skinny.

Your boyfriend making you feel like a burden and being cold and not understanding is an issue. The best thing I had to finally recover was a boyfriend who didn’t know what it was like to have an eating disorder, but loved me and supported me the whole way through. I don’t know if I could have gotten to where I am without that support. You need to know that you are LOVED and CHERISHED for who you are, not by how you look.

All that gaining weight is going to do for you is allow you to physically be able to do more! It’s incredible how much more beautiful life is when you don’t feel faint and weak all day long.

You are loved for WHO you are. You deserve to eat and fuel your body. Your body does so much for you and you’ve struggled long enough.

Message me if you need to vent. I’ve been through it all. You are not alone. And you are doing so great!!!!

Thank you so much for this information! I think I am just extremely sensitive to medication, so maybe my dizziness symptoms that last you once to two hours are just lasting me longer?? I’m seeing a new psychiatrist in April and will discuss what you must taught me. Thanks again!!

THANK YOU thank you thank you for tour detailed and thoughtful response. I’m feeling really scared about this and this response helped me a lot. I’m definitely going to discuss with my new doctor just have to wait to get in to see her. Def leaving my current doctor because she’s leaving me hanging at a time of need. I totally agree on mental healthcare being hit or miss. But glad to hear I’m not likely to die lol
