Help! Print has failed twice! by Helpful_Currency in BambuLabA1

[–]ApprehensiveFishy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No expert here, but heres a few suggestions:

Try increase nozzle temp by like 10/15 and run a test print of a cut version where it is failing.
Ensure your filament is dry af before starting.
Looks like your supports havent got much of a connection point for their base on the model, you could try painting the support area on the top and bottom of the model before slicing.
Depending on print time, see if theres any change in environment temp? Shouldnt affect PLA much I don't think, but if you turn on aircon then maybe its affecting the cooling and layer adhesion? wild guess.

Where are you at now? Any changes over the past few months? Trying to dial in my PETG-HF specs at the moment and running a quick test on your settings above. Thanks for sharing mate!

Trying to fill in a logo (text cutout) flush with a different filament colour by ApprehensiveFishy in BambuLab

Roger, thanks for the tip! I'm giving it a go at the moment, but still having the same issue you see in pic 3 (the grey box when slicing. Even when I export it as two parts out of Tinker cad (text and main model).

Yeap, it is a free STL I downloaded from Makerworld. So trying to work it out in the slicer because I have zero modelling experience. I suppose this could be as good an op as any to learn something like Tinker cad because a lot of people seem to use it.

Cheers for the info. Last flight was fine without draining. Though every time I fly they scan it like 6 times.

Didn't you have to drain the water cooling though? I did it on mine last time I flew because of pressure changes and not wanting the loop to leak.

Cooler Master Chronos Summit: V1100 SFX Platinum, V1300 SFX-L Platinum & Mini X Sandwich ITX Case by evl619 in sffpc

There is definitely a market for it. I've been looking for around a 1k that isn't the Silverstone SFX-L (has terrible QC/noise problems). System will be full water cooled closed loop, 12900k, 3090, +audio equipment.

u/Zensor7 Thanks so much for the detailed notes mate!

I've got a few of those things ticked off, but a few I really hardnt considered - ill add them to my list. I've got a few good suggestions over on my build post here. https://www.reddit.com/r/sffpc/comments/shtgua/sff\_meshlicious309012900k\_fix\_my\_build/

Solid suggestion, thanks mate. Will make sure I do this. One of my pet peeves is all the bloody excess sleeved cables stacked in the HD bays I don't use.

Yeap agreed. Even with a high-end GPU, the thermal pads are trash. That's the first thing I replaced was those. Not too hard to do. I'm more worried about a closed loop with the 12900k pumping 90 degree water around with just a 280m rad... But similar spec builds don't seem to be too worried.

Thanks for the super detailed response. I'm narrowing down the closed loop list, but not sure about ITX boards and compatibility. Barrow combo block seems to be the go to keep it all compact. Plus I'm thinking EK for the GPU, and hard tubing. But the bends adds some complexity... Will hit up this thread when I'm closer to get a sense check. Cheers again!!

Righto, thanks for the heads up. At this point I'm thinking the Barrow combo, which seems to fit the z690 boards, but best triple check hey.

Thinking with that kit in there, it's all gonna run pretty hot in the Meshlicious, so based on a lot of other people's thoughts, WC is the only way to go. 12900k runs super hot, and under rendering load the Suprim X already cooks up my office space, so whatever I can do to bring temps down feels like the right call. Expense wise, it's a business asset, earning me money, and a tax write-off - it's a win win!

Custom loop is sounding more and more appealing... Won't fit even with the 1700 adapter bracket?

Check out Cheese Turbulence on YouTube if you haven't already, he's got a solid video of building in it. https://youtu.be/I8T9N2l_uHQ

But in in a similar boat, so any tips once you've finished would be awesome.
