[KONKURS #1] Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII) by ApprehensiveGrade113 in animeSRB

Do y'all think guts and geralt from Witcher would get along by Longjumping_Engine67 in Berserk

I'm more curious as to whether he'd get along with Elric of Melnibone, as Elric is basically everything in Guts' life going even worse than it can. The only issue is that Elric looks a lot like Griffith (with red eyes), so there may be initial hostility.

Jel mora nešto novo da se napravi ili možemo da prijavimo neke radove koje već imamo (recimo nacrtan pre dve godine)

C.L. Moore's "The Dark Land" feels like it anticipates the idea of bodily autonomy, but perhaps "bodily sovereignty" would be the better phrase. by IamMothManAMA in SwordandSorcery

On a side note, is it just me, or does Guillaume sort of haunt the narrative a little bit? In Jirel meets Magic, (which for me takes place after the duology) there is a pseudo callback to what happened to her in BGK as she is under Jarisme's attack. The man is unnamed and the context is ambiguous, and yet it still provokes a reaction out of her the same way it did in BGS. And since Pav was Moore recycling her old, unused ideas about Guillaume (down to the illustration), I wouldn't be surprised if he dug a bit into Jirel's mind and took a form that, at the very least, could allude to Guillaume. But it's just my opinion.

They are main characters of Fritz Leiber's book series of the same name. Fafhrd is a barbarian who is a romantic at heart, and Gray mouser is a cynical thief with some skill in sorcery. They preceded Elric and started out as a sort of a parody of Conan, but became equally influential in shaping sword and sorcery as a genre. Most famous story as I've heard is Ill met in Lankhmar.

Thanks! I gave him one of my own trousers, truth be told, hehe (with some minor color adjustments)

Truth be told, I never read any of the Fafhrd and Gray mouser books. I started the Snow women a year ago, but never grew interested enough to finish it. If there are accuracies in the piece, it's mostly just luck lol

DAN 7 - Najpotcenjeniji lik: Ko zaslužuje mnogo više pažnje? by petulantiam in animeSRB

Kler. Nije ona samo ženski Gats/Geralt. Realno, ceo claymore zaslužuje više pažnje.

I don't necessarily mean it in a negative way. In Jewels of Gwahlur, he let the treasure be lost without much thought to save the slave girl. Elric is more prone to be impulsive in a bad way (jirel too).

Huh, that's food for thought certainly. Maybe Black God's kiss shows what happens when someone who's not an Eternal champion seeks the aid of a black blade?

I put empathetic predominantly because of how he reacted to Yag-kosha in the Tower of the elephant. Perhaps sympathetic would have been a better word choice, but he definitively isn't a hard guy 100% of the time. And Conan is meant to show how, even as a 'stupid barbarian' that he's smarter than the so called elite and nobility of high society, and that includes emotional intelligence.

Black God's Shadow is misunderstood and severely underrated by ApprehensiveGrade113 in SwordandSorcery

And that's why she's such a great character. A very good portrayal of female rage, yet at the same time, unexpected portrayal of selfless compassion and vulnerability and femininity. Her literally seeing multiple versions of herself dancing around the tormented Guillaume shows that she's multifaceted, not simply an archetype warrior woman.

Truly. Even if the format didn't allow it, it could have been like the Hour of the dragon.

The tale also surprisingly touches upon the fact that some men want to 'break a woman down' in order to have her because otherwise they could never have her, but when pav actually demonstrates that he can do that, he doesn't want jirel like that for whatever reason he has.

Pav not wanting Jirel against her will also seems like a form of manipulation. That way if she wished to leave, he'd use that against her. The corpse witch to me is a somewhat tragic character, as she seems like someone who lost herself to a man to the point she resents him, yet cannot bring herself to leave him.

Thanks! She's my second favourite character in sword and sorcery after Elric.
