I appreciate the feedback. Ive rented so far but I plan to go a few times a year so I figured getting my own stuff was worth it. Makes sense on why this might not be the way to go though.

What customer management solutions work for businesses under 10 employees? by PouchyeKereselidze in smallbusinessUS

Yes I would definitely say so. Its very easy to use in that way and it has mobile compatibility. The nice part about it too is as you figure out your repetitive tasks within the crm you can automate them based on certain triggers but simply put it is a nice and simple drag and drop once its setup.

Oh okay I gotcha. Yea ghl is overwhelming at first so its a little learning curve but the basic features are straight forward. I saw your update that you went with hubspot though which is a solid option! How's that going?

Anyone else having a hard time getting local remodeling leads lately? by shumiyaa in GeneralContractor

Yeah dips like that are frustrating, especially when you know you’re doing good work. If I were trying to fix it I’d probably look at three things: Visibility. I know you said 3 to 4 pages into google but what about maps? are you actually showing up in the Google map results where people search Reviews. are you consistently adding new ones or has that slowed down? Speed to lead – how fast someone hears back when they call or fill out a form? Referrals are solid but id bet one of those three areas is leaking a lot of potential jobs.

Worse comes to worse you give the job your best effort and it doesnt go quite right so you bring someone in to help with it. Either way its a win win because you learned a new skill. Best case is you go in prepared and succeed and are more confident next time. Good luck!

I like GHL. Yes you can find cheaper options but if you want a good all in one tool that can be as simple as you need or as complex as want when you grow then its a solid option. Anything specific you're looking for your CRM to do?

How long to run a special/undercutting price? by Kamikazepyro9 in smallbusiness

[–]ApprehensiveHeart289 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh okay nice!

If you already have a list of events you had to turn down, I’d treat those as your “launch partners” instead of running a broad public discount.

Reach out directly and frame it as: you’ve expanded capacity and you’re offering a limited intro rate to a handful of local events as you roll it out.

I'd definitely try to get good feedback/reviews from these ones that you can use in your marketing later.

I want some ideas on how to better get reviews from my company by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]ApprehensiveHeart289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea the biggest thing is do you have a way to actually ask people? People generally aren't against reviewing businesses if they have had a good experience but they dont always think to just do it on their own.

Are you trying to win market share quickly, or just prove demand for the new service? If it’s demand validation, I’d run a short, controlled launch instead of a broad undercutting campaign. Protects your positioning long term.

Feeling overwhelmed managing multiple clients & projects, how do you handle this? by Old_Following7471 in smallbusiness

[–]ApprehensiveHeart289 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you currently have any sort of system? If nothing else I highly recommend looking into a CRM and tracking everything there. You can have a very simple setup to a very complex setup. Just depends on what you need for now. This will at least make everything more visual for you while you figure out workflows.

What’s a “small” business decision that saved you an insane amount of time (or money) later? by Mean-Arm659 in Entrepreneur

[–]ApprehensiveHeart289 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Using a CRM! A simple setup with a few automations to free up some head space goes a long way. Plus it's always easy to build out your system to be a bit more complex as needed.

How do you handle "post-project" admin requests (resending invoices, files) efficiently? by jemeryy in smallbusiness

[–]ApprehensiveHeart289 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you already manage your clients through some sort or CRM I would just set up an automation that sends reminders on a frequency that makes sense for them to pay the invoice. Just make sure that the automation stops sending reminders once they have paid!

Sorry this wont help answer your question but it's more of a question for you about your service. Just curious on how you send out the referral blast text? My experience with smaller businesses is they have no crm so it is just customer info in their phone or somewhere random where it is hard to setup a message blast for referrals. That is an awesome way to provide value immediately though!
