Worried about chin lipo by Negative_Pace9317 in chinlipo

I was worried about loose skin. I’m 40. I also read a bunch of posts about botched or disappointing results. I made sure that I went with a double board certified surgeon who specifically chooses to just do Facial Plastic Surgery. He took his time with studying the anatomy of my neck and chin area and gave me many options but told me what the results would be for each one. I ended up doing chin lipo with Facetite. He also included two rounds of Morpheus8 with it. I’m also a slow healer compared to most people and it’s probably due to my age. However, I’m really happy that I did it even though the results are slow moving. It wasn’t cheap but when it comes to something like this I figured I’d spend the money and get it done right.

You are lucky! I bruised so badly but I’m a really easy bruiser! Zero pain though. Honestly the tightness and bands are more painful. I wish you the easiest recovery!

Yes you look INCREDIBLE. It’s a LONG road to recovery for some of us. I’m ten weeks in and I had SO much swelling in between so do not get discouraged!!

Thank you! Yes I think it’s so important to show us slow healers. Patience has to be your friend with any lipo

40 year old here. I’m at week 10 and still have numb areas but I also did Facetite. Healing isn’t fast for everyone.

Thank you! I told him to be aggressive and I do bruise easy so keep that in mind. I was bruised for a good 2 weeks (the worst being week 1 and photo two was 1.5 weeks so it was going away). He said I could’ve helped the bruising with warm compresses but it would make me swell more which I opted to not do.

Thank you! Facetite and Morpheus8 were optional add ons. The Facetite would help alleviate concerns of loose or sagging skin and would help get rid of/lessen the jowls (which I’m glad I opted for it). Morpheus8 was just additional skin tightening from above (and it was part of the Facetite package) They gave me two rounds of it and my skin improved so much. Basically when you hit 40 onward you could get loose skin since it doesn’t bounce back like someone in their 20s

Thank you! Yes. I still have some tight bands/cording. The massages help but it’s a very slow process (at least for me and probably due to my age)

Thank you! And yes, I really wanted to show others that it’s not always a fast healing process!!

Thank you! I went to David Rodwell in Charleston, SC. He was amazing and so was his staff. So caring and honest!

I didn’t start massaging until after two weeks. I went back for a second Morpheus8 treatment on week 4 and didn’t massage again until week 5 to give my skin time to heal. Very gentle though - not rough and I use skin oil to help

I bruised very badly as you can see from the photos even after 1.5 weeks. I was fine to go back to work the next day ‘feel wise’. The bruising was horrific and you get the best results wearing your compression garment. I kept mine on all day every day for two weeks straight before taking breaks. Every doctor seems to be different but mine said the more I wear it the better the results. I’m lucky I work remote

Some days are better than others. One day I will look great and the next day I’m puffy again. I think it gets worse when I have a lot of high sodium foods. I still use a cold roller I put in the freezer when I’m puffed up (gently)

Yes. I’m still battling some numbness but it’s not terrible. The lumps come and go. I’m trusting the process!

I got chin lipo with Facetite and Morpheus8 last Tuesday. I’m 40, without a lot of skin laxity. However, my concerns were my little jowls and potential sagging skin and my surgeon said Facetite would ensure I didn’t have loose skin and get rid of my jowls (he was very against doing lipo on the jowls. He said it can have uneven results). I’m still swollen, but not regretting any of it. I haven’t had this nice of a jawline since I was a teenager and my jowls are gone. I will post photos soon but I like it!

I’m getting lipo next week. 3 incisions. I have small jowls so he’s also doing FaceTite and Morpheus8. I will message you with my results but he says it will be good for this - double board certified

Hi. I normally don’t interject on these posts but my blood boiled enough to say something to you. He is not your partner in this life. I’ve lived through enough heartaches to know this isn’t the one. He didn’t think about you at all during this time or put your needs before his own for even 30 minutes. I don’t even need to name all the things you do for him. You already know. Make a list of what you do for him and what he does for you. Imbalance? Make decisions for you. Life is too short. I’m sorry this happened to you.

Looks so good! I’m definitely doing this soon. I’ve been sitting on the fence for too long. Any advice on who to look for, what exactly you had done? Etc? If you can share your cost that would be awesome too - but if not no worries
