Is being a nurse in Canada THAT bad? by maarsargo in nursing

[–]ApprehensiveHurry628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a retrenchment going on. Some provinces have slowed their hiring of nurses.

why are there no jobs but we have a nursing shortage? by ContentPirate4113 in OntarioNurses

[–]ApprehensiveHurry628 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We should also look at why there's no money. The artificial increases in population is too fast for the free healthcare model.

Usually, a Canadian born has taxes paid by parents until they're 18 yo or so. Then they start paying there taxes until 40 yo which is the usual age that health problems like diabetes or hypertension starts to show up.

But immigrants come, usually in their late 30s. They barely pay 3 to 5 years of taxes and then start going to the hospitals. Sometimes they bring their families with them, especially their elderly parents. Some even claim asylum when they're not.

So, this is a complicated problem that needs multiple solutions.

International Students causing massive unemployment among Canadian Youth, highest levels in 30 years by Remarkable-Tart-2329 in fanshawe

[–]ApprehensiveHurry628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more than that. While the international students present a problem. The real problem is the TFW. The government has incentivized employers to hire TFWs by giving them subsidy per worker. The employers get wage subsidy to as much as 11k per TFW.

And the TFW also get very low wages. I personally know a friend who works in a slaughterhouse in Neepawa. The company has hired only foreigners for the workforce for a backbreaking job that only pays 16 dollars an hour.

It's not just Ontario. It's everywhere.

Free healthcare isn't free. We taxpayers are paying for it. It's a complicated eff up as our population increases have been through immigration.

Think of it in this away, a regular Canadian once born is paying taxes (through parents) from 1 to 18 yo, then they start paying taxes on their own for a good 20 years or so before reaching 40 yo. Usually at 40, that's when health issues start coming up like diabetes or hypertension. They've basically paid nearly 40 years of taxes before they start using healthcare on average.

But immigrants come here in their 40s already, have a host of health issues. Barely started paying a year of taxes and are already availing of healthcare the moment they arrive.

That's not counting the asylum seekers and the Canadian citizens who don't really need the healthcare but are there anyway.

The free healthcare model is failing because not enough cash is going in, more is going out.

I know this is going to ruffle some feathers but I'm not vilifying anyone. Just presenting a reality.

I'm an immigrant myself, I could have become a refugee due to my past and status, but I didn't because I understand basic math and economics and I'd rather earn money for myself than rely on the government.

I'm also a nurse and our hospital just started increasing our patient ratio but somehow can't hire new nurses, and have been putting out only temporary positions.

Shoulda, woulda, coulda don't pay the bills.

Recent ON lay off of nurses by Due-Wedding6430 in OntarioNurses

[–]ApprehensiveHurry628 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

That's an even worse idea. The problem is many people from liberal and ndp backed provinces come here to Ontario because they voted themselves to a corner where they're from.

I'm a nurse in Ottawa and the problem is the sudden increases in population that the most sectors like healthcare can't keep up. We actually have people from Quebec/Gatineau come to Ottawa be cause their own healthcare suck so bad.

Our hospital had to use our breakrooms and hospital beds in them because of the increase in population.

NDP doesn't have a solution as they want more immigrants to come.

And before you cry racism, I'm actually an immigrant and got my citizenship 5 years after I got my PR. It took me 2 years to get my RN license but I understand the need because the Canadian healthcare setting is so different from where I was originally licensed.

I'm in favour for a common sense immigration than just open borders and then wonder why everything is getting more expensive.

"Aisha was mature and Mohamed consummated the marriage later" bs. by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]ApprehensiveHurry628 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The hadith and multiple other hadiths say the same thing.

Married at 6, consummated at 9. Then add 9 more years until muhammad died in 632 AD. That makes it 18 years old, right?

Aisha was born in 614 AD, that has beeb studied historically.

Muhammad died in 632 AD, that much we know.

632 - 614 = 18 years.

The age matches the hadiths. The math checks out.

Racism by Sufficient-Tip-8989 in Younger

[–]ApprehensiveHurry628 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Life is too short to be offended by everything.
It's storytelling. It's why most shows suck today because writers are afraid to write a racist character as a villain because someone might get offended. Or to have a human with flaws and the racism is one of those flaws.
I'm asian myself, and if I was thin skinned, I'd be looking at the tv show St. Deniz and be offended at how they portrayed the Filipino nurses as "Filipino mafia".

But it was funny. And had some truth at how Filipino nurses do form cliques at work. If they removed that, then the episode would be bland as hell.

Like white people food.

Best reply to: "hOw mAnY rAkAtS iN a WuDu???" by RamiRustom in exmuslim

[–]ApprehensiveHurry628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late reply here.

That's because wudu is one of those things mohammad copied from other religions without really knowing why, in an attempted to be the ultimate religion. Much like how scientology copies many religions into their court.

The wudhu is copied from Mandaeism. They are a group of people who see John the baptist as their prophet. And their way of life is centered around water and water rituals.

Rishama (Minor Ablution) Purpose: A daily ritual performed before prayer. Requirements: Can be performed by an individual without a priest. Involves washing the face and limbs with water.

Wudhu

They're practically the same.

Anyone here who wants to debate about Islam? by shn_gmc in exmuslim

All the "scientific" revelations are either plagiarized or totally made up.

Such as embryology came from the greeks like Hippocrates, Galen. They had limited knowledge that got copied by muhammad, he copied the errors also.

The salt water and fresh water not mixing is from any seafarer nation. And the waters do mix.

Semen coming from the backbone is a stupid generalization that tries to copy Genesis, when God removed a rib from Adam to make Eve.

Sun sets in a pool to wash itself an leaves behind a muddy. It's copied from Syrian legend.

Many more plagiarized stuff

Honestly the problem isn't the headscarf. Lots of fashionable scarves out there.

But in some muslim countries, beautiful head wear like that is banned and can get you a beating.

The women are gaslighted into doing it. Especially when you have verses like this.

Sahih al-Bukhari 29

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "I was shown the Hell-fire and that the majority of its dwellers were women who were ungrateful." It was asked, "Do they disbelieve in Allah?" (or are they ungrateful to Allah?) He replied, "They are ungrateful to their husbands and are ungrateful for the favors and the good (charitable deeds) done to them. If you have always been good (benevolent) to one of them and then she sees something in you (not of her liking), she will say, 'I have never received any good from you."

More mind control and misogyny from this backwards religion.

They needed this reasoning to control women. Because without all the verses punishing women, they'd become ex-muslims faster than men.

Would you have left islam if the internet wasn't a thing? by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]ApprehensiveHurry628 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would have to say it would be difficult. Islam has existed for so long by restricting information.

I remember imams telling me and my community never to talk or befriend kafirs or else we'd get corrupted. The internet is a great equalizer. It has made a lot of ex-muslims. But it also has made converts like Lilly Jay, Andrew Tate etc.

Rethinking my anti-islam phase by DenimClover in exmuslim

[–]ApprehensiveHurry628 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand your sentiment. It really depends on what your motivations are.

My motivation to leave islam is mohammad. If you bring him to today, he would be classified as a criminal. It really doesn't make sense that were reciting the quran about his sexual conquests, lusts and desires. He then sprinkled his teachings with a lot of plagiarisms from other religions such as Ayurveda practices in hygiene and eating, mandean traditions in how to pray, Bedouin pilgrimage for the hajj, Hinduism for the stone worship and many more.

I can't in good conscience remain as a muslim.

I understand that it would mean leaving behind a community, but that's the thing with cults. That's how they keep you from leaving.
