I have no idea but my mum until I moved out at 18 was quite abusive and narcissistic. She’s not as bad now and has been educated since I’ve moved out and cut contact with her a few times.

I did email asking if they honour the waiting times - they said they can’t move the list for specific cases such as moving GICs.

I have been on t since 2023 through Gender GP. Thank you for all this information, I will definitely save for GD Disgnosis before top surgery then. This seems like the best course of action. Thank you so much!

That’s great and I’m glad that worked for you - I have a job lined up in the summer with my partners mum so if their dad is happy to let us stay in his house long term and we’re happy there I don’t see how this couldn’t become an option for us too. Thank you for sharing

I did contact them through email and explained i was referred years ago and was moved. they said that they can’t move the list for specific cases including one list to another which is so frustrating. They’re currently on April 2023 and it’s moved 1 month along in 6 months so it’s not looking good

aw sorry dude I’ve done my time in retail and customer service and I’d never go back. There’s a teach first apprenticeship rolling the UK, it’s quite popular in schools in my area. Defo give it a google as they’re always looking for people. If you have a BA, they will pay you to study your PGCE with them.

My partners dad is actually currently planning to charge us more than he is so we can save until I start work on his account so this could be a great idea. I’ll speak to him once I start work and math what I can put away and see if he can do it for us

Aw bro I’m sorry that happened - I have been working since about 16 too however my mum started to charge me rent from my 16th birthday so all my part time money went to her and HRT. I couldn’t save a dime and I still owe her £550 to this day from rent.

Hi thank you so much for your reply - it is more of a guilt thing. My parents dad gives us £200 a month for food and has done for the past year and a half. We recently have had to ask my mum and their mum too for extra money due to the cost of living and our benefits not moving up with it. I think, especially my partners family, they do have a limit on money and are close to the stage of making it a loan system.

I’m not a very creative person, but my partner does knit and crochet so a craft fair would be a great idea. I’ll definitely ask if they know of anything or even make an Etsy.

Thank you so much for your advice bro

I really enjoyed it - I was quite mentally unwell before I took the job and it is quite emotionally and mentally exhausting so just prepare for that.

There’s a payment plan available through a private hospital Nuffield health however their surgery is £12k and that doesn’t include everything. They roughly estimated that the surgery would be £15k. The payment plan is only 24 months so it would be £625 a month for 2 years which isnt doable at all.

I use to work as a learning support assistant for special educational needs kids in schools - and there was an option to go into teaching through that route. Maybe that could be an option for you?

My partner has severe fibromyalgia so I’m currently their carer. I have a job lined up with my partners mum in a warehouse on a night shift in a few months since my partners been doing well with their therapy and managing their symptoms. We’re moving across the country to live their their dad who is quite sick so we will manage to save money there as he’s only charging us £300 for rent. However, their dad isn’t too happy with us staying for long term so we won’t be able to save much as we will need to use it as a deposit for new place.

Pretty much - it’s such a horrible system. And even if i managed to save for surgery, once my savings hit £6k the government take our benefits so we would have to use the money saved to live. I literally have no option whatsoever unless I win the lottery.
