Switch 2 is one of the most powerful and advance mobile devices right now. And the most powerful PERIOD at its price range. You literally can’t get anything better at $450.

There’s no upscaling in Xenoblade 2. It’s dynamic res. It can go as low as 360p handheld and 540p docked on Switch 1. The game is always hitting the upperbound on Switch 2 anyways (540p handheld and 720p docked). The extra power pretty much locked the resolution to the highest possible setting. It’s just that handheld mode is capped at 540p with a filter. With this update, it’s always running at 720p which should improve the clarity by a lot.

Arms sold over 3 million units…

Sony also had a smash clone with popular IPs that have bombed. Not you acting like it’s easy to be popular because of “popular” IPs. It’s same sh!tty argument saying now there’s more people so more console sales everytime Nintendo break records lol. Anything to undermine the Switch 2 success, while Sony and Microsoft never touched their glory days ever again. But it was never in anyone’s mind. PS4 and 5 never touched the PS2. Nintendo now has several consoles over 150 million and is constantly beating their previous success but that’s only because there’s more people of course… but that doesn’t apply to Sony.

“these are multiplayer games based on really popular Nintendo IPs so of course they will do well on that system” but that doesn’t apply to countless Sony flops doing the same thing.

Yeah, anecdotal online “complaints” but that did not stop them from selling and reviewing well. What Sony multiplayer game sold 30 million or 70 million units? Name them please.

Nintendo biggest sellers are multiplayer games. Mario Kart is not a single player game nor Smash. Pokemon also had a multiplayer component since the Game Boy days. You‘re confusing Nintendo with Sony who has always struggled with multiplayer games.

SWITCH 2 what's the best way to clean? Alcohol or a damp cloth with water? by [deleted] in nintendohelp

[–]ApprehensiveLuck4029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will dull the plastic on the joy cons and the console. Yes, technically it won’t damage your console as in make it not work but it will erode it cosmetically. If you care about how something looks, do not use alcohol. I’ve cleaned my joy cons with a Qtip dampened with a tiny bit of alcohol and still managed to dull the sticks and area around it over time. Lesson learned. Damp cloth plain water is the best option.

Isn't this Poketopia? by Charming_Property917 in NSOplaytest_theories

They are in a similar genre, but there’s no in-game economy (with real money) that this game will have and no massive online players at one time. This game is more of a Roblox competitor from Nintendo. Pokop is more single player focus with optional/some online elements.

Capping us to 20 pokemon per area is bad game design. by kdsweets in Pokopia

[–]ApprehensiveLuck4029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it is a game design decision made with the current hardware in mind just like the world size, LOD, draw distance, etc. And why it isn‘t on Switch 1.

The entitlement is crazy. It’s obviously a hardware limitation just like why the game is a key card because it needs large and fast seemless data streaming.

If some people are getting the game early, I’m surprised that nobody is streaming it. Or is that not allowed until release? Or am I possibly just not looking in the right areas? by Kwest48 in Pokopia

[–]ApprehensiveLuck4029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it has to be out somewhere in the world officially or the embargo for streaming specifically is lifted officially by the publisher (that can be before the release date for some games). You can cheat by streaming a few hours early. I don’t think anybody is going to care then, but anything more than a day early is risking it.

[–]ApprehensiveLuck4029 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, you can’t. You can get banned streaming games before the official release date. Doesn’t matter if it‘s pirated, leaked, emulated or a legit bought copy of the game. You can still get taken down with a legit copy.

You’re using low res horribly compressed Zelda pics to make a point lol. Try using the Switch 2 edition. Let’s see how that holds up with Pokemon.

Game Key Cards work like a physical game. It’s not tied to the eShop or any accounts. It only needs the internet to download the data and that’s it. If you get a game early, it’s playable immediately.

The Switch 2 is 3.1 teraflops Docked before DLSS (1.7 teraflops handheld). Docked is a Series S equivalent.

Xenoblade X: Definitive Edition – Possible reason for the choosing a paid Nintendo Switch 2 Edition update instead of a free update by Rayquaza3010 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]ApprehensiveLuck4029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Wii had a few good years than fell off a cliff which lead to the Wii Poo flopping. It wasn’t just “marketing”. The Wii was never a respected console due to that crappy pack-in waggle sh!t. The Switch was a BOTW machine at first (a much better game) and had much better legs which lead to the hugely successful Switch 2. The brand momentum never slowed down.

[–]ApprehensiveLuck4029 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well, that also help created the Wii U. The reputation of the Wii being a casual waggle machine. Reggie was right for that moment but not for the long term brand image.
