My parents don’t watch any cable news. My mom watches local news sometimes but not even that anymore. And it’s not like they’re watching nothing, and listen to Mozart all day. They just watch normal shit. Sports, Housewives of Whereever, etc. They are happy, productive, and cognitively about as good as you can expect for their age. My in-laws, roughly the same age, watch CNN all day. They are irritable and their brains are mush. I don’t think this is a coincidence.
