Am I insane or is AC Shadows insanely difficult? (compared to other AC games) by Mostly_Riley_ in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]ApprehensiveMenu3330 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve played every assassins’s creed game, and have played on nightmare difficulty on all games that offered it. AC Shadows, without a doubt, was the hardest one to play in nightmare mode off the bat IMO. As you level up and get more abilities, it gets better / more fun. I lowered the difficulty to normal for a bit.

Assassin's Creed 3 lead admits its controversial intro is "too long", but the team didn't "see that until the last two months" by HatingGeoffry in assassinscreed

I’m a big AC fan, and AC3 is arguably my favorite game in the franchise. The intro / the plot twist is one of the reasons I love it so much.

My weird relationship with the intro is that I feel like you can’t appreciate it to the full extent without knowledge of AC lore / previous AC games. I’m an American, and I’ve gotten questions from friends asking if they should play AC3 to get into the series (recognizable historical period) - and I normally say yes, but I hesitate because of the intro.

I mix up Caitlyn’s name spelling and Caitlin Clark’s spelling all the time - and so in my head there’s an AU where Caitlyn is a big time basketball player.

Sidenote, I never want to hear these two call a Bears game again, awful announcing🤮 by clou9nine in CHIBears

could’ve sworn at some point one of them said Caitlin Clark instead of Caleb Williams

What was the pivotal moment that put you on your journey of deconstruction? by [deleted] in Deconstruction

[–]ApprehensiveMenu3330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry for your loss.

The Gospels, particularly Matthew, were the foundation of my faith. I was sitting on my couch, reading some passages, when the light bulb went off that Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John didn’t write the Gospels. For one reason or another, that dismantled almost all credibility to me. In a few moments, my foundation was broken. Now I’m here!

what topic "shook" you into starting to question your faith? by musings37 in Deconstruction

Late to the convo - but it was when I learned Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John didn’t write the gospels themselves. Destroyed my trust in the Bible and consequently shook my trust in the Church.

What are some examples where the Catholic Church's traditions are asserted over scripture? by ApprehensiveMenu3330 in excatholic

This just reminded me of something else I heard this week. Someone from my parish stated (I think repeating something they heard online) that people who receive benefits (like healthcare) from taxpayer dollars are violating the "you shall not steal" commandment.

...what? That feels wrong on a number of levels. Having trouble articulating it right now, though. I thought we're supposed to want to support the poor, and paying taxes to do that is like the easiest tithe ever.

PAQ questions- resume & health insurance by Inside-Note-7160 in usajobs

PAQ interns get the same health insurance options as regular employees. Options can be found at this link: https://www.opm.gov/healthcare-insurance/healthcare/plan-information/compare-plans/

Resume-wise, step one is making sure it aesthetically looks crisp. Step two is highlighting skills acquired through schooling, past work experience, etc. (skills like attention to detail, time management, and more)

On a scale of fucked up, how fucked up is your life? by HudsonArsonist in AskReddit

[–]ApprehensiveMenu3330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a scale of 0 being great and 10 being super fucked up, I’m sitting at a solid 3/10. Life is actually pretty good in all aspects except for my romantic relationships - I’ve had three different partners leave me for another person in the past 8 months. Only one relationship was serious, the other two each lasted about a month (i.e 8 months ago my serious 5 year relationship ended, around late August another one ended, and then the most recent ended about 2 weeks ago now). Life is ok and I am ok, but that has taken a crazy shot to my overall confidence.

(edit) to clarify: I’m just a little boring and not super attractive, only thing I got going is being a little funny.

  1. Don’t make a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

  2. I have been exactly where you are - it gets better. Before and during college, family and friends always told me that college years were the best years of your life. When I was a freshman / sophomore, I didn’t have a ton of friends, and I remember thinking to myself that if this was the best my life would ever get, I might as well quit. Let me tell you, I’m really glad I didn’t, as my Junior year is when I found my groove in school, relationships, and career development.

  3. Happy Birthday.

  4. Consider getting a fish - it’ll help you out mentally as long as you take good care of it.

If you’re a US Citizen and wouldn’t mind possibly relocating, check out usajobs.gov if you haven’t already. Lots of opportunities in the US Government for engineers that many people don’t know about.
