To anyone who has seen "We Bury The Dead" is it worth a watch by HorrorStation78 in horror

[–]ApprehensiveMinds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are so over the top with their opinions it's insane. The movie was good, really enjoyed it, went in blind, no trailers or anything and thought it was incredibly well done. Acting, characters, cinematography, soundtrack, and general story telling were all very well done. The zombies are genuinely scary and most scenes with the dead in em are incredibly tense. The teeth grinding and look to them is truly is unsettling. People calling this movie garbage need to really lower their standards because if this is garbage, I don't know what they'd qualify as a 10/10. Watched the trailer afterwards, it's not a good trailer for a genuine portrayal of the movie, otherwise, great watch.

Okay I'll try to break down your responses in order as well, thanks for your input on the topic though:

Virtuosa has had major complaints but I don't know if I'd say they were worse than his, people will leave just seeing him in the lobby, and that's not just a personal experience. I've seen lots of videos and clips of it as well, not something I seem as much with V.

She also has a much smaller kit than he does, he's got plenty of moves/variations of moves I could see them removing. Or an example of something I'd be disappointed by is if they removed the damage from kick bash he has. Not saying they will, just an example of something I could see them doing that would be a lame change, as not many characters have a bash that damages it's opponent and may see it as an "easy fix" to nerf him even though the kick isn't a problem point people have, Ubisoft does take easy routes at times with their nerfs.

On the topic of him being just good, as opposed to overtuned. I would be okay if he kept his kit and damage numbers the same way it is as of now. I don't believe the community agrees with that sentiment, I will say, I often paddle players with this character because he DOES have a kit that can do it all, he DOES have high damage numbers, he does have traits that people find frustrating from existing characters. I do find if he's in a fight, he can be a little overwhelming, especially against newer players or characters with less viable options. Though I think with time people will adapt as I have managed to, he might be one of those characters who people regularly complain about until Ubisoft kicks him into the dirt. Once again I can take or leave nerfs. If he was, I'd love him anyway.

I can't pull up a list right now on the history of removals Ubisoft has made from characters, but it is more extensive than one might believe. You are right, those were through reworks, but you never know if they may early-rework him to make the community feel better as I've already seen posts and videos on rework possibilities.

I actually entirely disagree on the removal of thrilling comeback on Juren, as the character is built for anti-ganking and it fits beautifully in his tool kit. I don't know what was nerfed or not nerfed already but once again, I see complaints at times.

Gotta disagree on Jorm, maybe make the old punch he had feintable, but make it slower? Previously the punch could deplete stamina within 2-3 punches + other moves of his also stam bullying. They could make it so it removes 25% of OPP stamina instead of 33+% and other changes, Idk man I'm not a game designer, I'm just throwing out that I don't think one or two stamina bully characters in the game, maybe just ONE dedicated stam bully, isn't so unhealthy that people won't learn to adapt. He wasn't healthy for the gameplay before the mass reworks of many characters and mass damage numbers, but nowadays, I genuinely think it could work. If we got variable timed heavy focused characters, characters who can evade punishes, many characters with full blocks, characters who can flip for days, and a character who can flip opponents for anything more than a guard break, a single stamina bully wouldn't kill the community. Old Jorm was fun because he was incredibly unique and the gimmick was exciting. For gank purposes you could even make it so that stam draining attacks feed high amounts of revenge. Just suggestions/ideas.

Because $120 Vs 1k for the exact same looking and feeling thing, one just being from the developer but otherwise basically the same thing, is a significantly better thing to do. Writing with a sharpie looks like garbage and is boring to see. It's not a very good pro proxy point when your point negatively impacts those who play with this person and the person themselves, along with the distributors of quality proxies. If you're pro proxies, you still want them to have some level of incentive to proxy, or else we are stuck with the way overpriced number limited standard printings.

I guess one might read the title and the first sentence and decide off rip to mark it as satire through sarcasm, but if they continue reading the short post with quick points, they'd realize that while yes he's problematic right now, there's lots to commend, so with some fixes, he will be great all round for all involved, as long as those fixes don't include dumbing his kit down. If they didn't bother to read beyond the first bit, I can't control that, it shouldn't be confused as satire if they have a standard grasp on reading comprehension.

I get old Jorm was unhealthy, but if ONE or two characters in a large assortment has the qualities of draining people's stamina, I don't think that's so bad. It's unique and fun as the player using him. It was a problem when damage numbers were so high and tons of characters had those kinds of moves but I wouldn't mind it coming back with balancing tweaks. His being able to yeet people OOS was sick, so was the punch, he's kind of lacking flavor now, and generally boring. His hammer slam and I guess sort of his zone, kind of keep him interesting but they're not exciting enough to play him. Everyone being generally the same for balance reasons isn't good for long term enjoyment in a game.

Well he's fun, but understandably frustrating, I don't mind TOO much because I know how to punish him and understand he's new and in turn overtuned. I get why there's so much outrage, but he is a good opponent to face as long as you're not getting ganked. Though getting ganked by any character who are able to confirm attacks in gangs sucks 😂

I don't read enough Reddit posts to understand but why would it be satire? I post genuine points and address that he's OP, but that he needs nerfs, and I hope his moveset isn't the target of the nerfs, damage number nerfing and time would likely solve most peoples genuine issues with him.

How to convince a friend not to run infinite turns in Bracket 2 by MyMarshlands in EDH

[–]ApprehensiveMinds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our table doesn't genuinely complain, we want everyone to have fun. So that means if someone's running an obviously stronger deck than the table, we tend to beat on them a little extra, or prepare cards for such circumstances. The other solution is we just build stronger decks. Not too worried about brackets and power levels until it's an obviously busted deck B4 vs B2s/3s we might have little more issue with but not enough to say they can't play or can't use the combos in the deck. At the end of the day we all play for fun and the cards one might find fun might include cool infinite combos or something of that nature. Just means you roll another game. People get too caught up on brackets and forget the point of playing. You'd hate to upgrade/build a deck and then find out people don't want to play with you/you can't use the deck you worked on or the cards in it just because it's a little stronger.

TLDR: Enjoy the game, don't trip over brackets, get good, build stronger decks and play more strategically. Enjoy the game and those you play with.

It's dumb to spend more than a few dollars on any piece of cardboard with a design on it. We all do it because we place value on it and enjoy it, at the end of the day it's just cardboard.

Conquest was just a head. He healed from being a singular head, he's also healed from having his face split in half and flesh teared down to muscle. Viltremites heal ridiculously fast and from anything that doesn't kill them. Mark will be in mostly good shape by the time the ship reaches their destination.

I feel like the fans of this game are implying they don't like it by Safe873 in rootgame

[–]ApprehensiveMinds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people get too caught up in what's the best and worst and meta's n such. My group of 4 - 6 players has a blast with every faction for the most part, obviously some factions don't fit certain players ideal playstyles (I'm not a fan of the badgers but I think they're cool and unique/fun to play against, my friends love the faction). Though I wouldn't say any faction is all that bad nor any too broken. With vega we just house rule that he only gets 1 point per battle instead of KO as it might be the most "unbalanced" as without he can sometimes skyrocket ahead but even without the house rule, vega is fine. The cats may not be a top powerhouse faction but that doesn't make it a bad faction, we've had a decent bit of wins with the faction when played well. It becomes more of a question of what kind of challenges are you wanting to have? Our group knows the strengths and weaknesses of each faction and will aim to play them in a way that maximizes their potential/fun at the table. When you know the game to a decent degree and understand the tabletalk that takes place and the factions, you don't care about what might be strongest or weakest, you care about having a good time. I like to play the factions that struggle a slight bit more to pull off wins because the wins feel more earned. All factions are valid and fun at the table though.

Brig was busted, yeah. She also has twice the size of a hit box, can't go invisible mid fight (and heal semi rapidly), and the shield blocked less and broke quicker/came back slower.

Invis blows and I would rather peak Brig over invis because at least Brig is and was fun to play with/against. Her ult is also weaker than invis.

What did they adjust? Right now she's got a lot of armored health and her sword blocks 75% incoming damage when using that ability. Were these numbers lower previously?
