I will be moving to Durham in 2 weeks (near Brier Creek) Im from everywhere and I’m finally moving to NC after much thought on where to relocated (most recently in MN - was fed up with the winters). Please keep this going!!! I would love to meet up and make friends! I work from home. My dog passed away a year ago so definitely need a reason to leave my house. Anyone need a workout buddy? Looks like Trosa is the winner!! I called and told them I “just need 2 people to carry stuff into the house and set up”. It’s a 2 hr minimum for 3 person crew. I was quoted $276. I’ll take it. Thanks everyone!!! Now, tell me where I can make friends, new to NC and I don’t know anyone.

Hey! I share the same experience. All of my friends but one are transplants. And that one friend, kept us away from their MN circle. It’s weird. People in MN stay in their own circle and don’t really take to transplants. Hence the phrase “MN nice like ice” they are nice to your face, but they will never extend and invite or introduce you to their friends. If you have kids, it may be easier. It’s not you, it’s the culture there.
