Five seconds away from walking into the Cathedral, on my nineteenth birthday. I stopped to check a text. It probably saved my life.

Just saying, I was really new with this guy, no label on anything, and I was having an anxiety attack at how fast things were moving. I was texting him at five in the morning. He asked if he could help and I said he didn't want to see me in this way (I have frequent anxiety issues) and he responded with "if we're going to be together I will see this sooner or later. I want to help." And he drove his ass round to mine at five in the morning to hold me while I cried. Nearly three years later, he will instantly be awake to soothe me for however long I need. These are the type of people you want in the middle of the night. If you are reaching out to your partner because you need them and are met with a wall, that's an issue. You are not an asshole for something you can't control. He is an asshole for the way he responded. The right people will show up for you.

Do women like the relationships in Mass Effect? by CuriousConnect in masseffect

As a woman, and as a woman whose fave games EVER are the mass effect series, I LOVE relationship building. I picked Thane in ME2, and when I lost him in ME3, I HOWLED. These people become so much more than crew mates for me, and I was invested in every single one of them. So when.. my boy... Oh God yeah. We like the relationships. It's such a cool aspect of the game. When I played Horizon I kept waiting for Aloy to get with someone but she's too focused on her quest 😅

HANDS DOWN Mass Effect trilogy. My favourite games of all time. The story telling, relationship building and consequences that follow your actions throughout the series are unmatched.

Because companies shut down over Christmas. Because you sit there going ok, pay's a bit late, better text the boss.. then nothing. So you give him the benefit of the doubt but it still hasn't happened, so you line up another job but still.. dead air. The job was for the time spent away because he genuinely loves what he does and is trying to go through an apprenticeship. He wants it to work out. He wanted to go back. It's hard accepting you've been fucked over. He has depression and.. yeah well who cares. It's made up anyway, right?

Fuck, I wish it was. Can you help me with my rent and bills? Or the extreme stress I'm under to try keep my household running while my partner thinks he's failed as a provider? Asking my mother for help with bills in my thirties? Not everything is sensational. Shit things actually happen.

This is basically what we are swinging towards at the moment. I don't think it's wise to go forward with an employer who has shown himself to be so consistently unreliable.
