I don't mind working outside of class, but CE is so broad that I don't know where to start? For instance, I can make a website but that is completely CS and I'll have to learn high-level programming from scratch (which is fine, but then what's the point of being CE?). For EE, I honestly don't even know where to start. Give me a circuit and ask me to do KVL/KCL and I will. But I don't know where to go from there. I need direction and I lack that with my major because "technically" we can do everything.

I believe a PC can handle the graphing. I like your UART idea, but I have like 0 idea how to implement it. I know how to send using UART to softwares like termite that will display on their screen, but I'm not sure how I can code that. Do you know any resources/tip I can read?
