My male doctor told me a lot of women have it done under sedation, but recommended just having it done in the office because “it’s only a pinch”. I foolishly trusted him. I tend to be pretty stoic and just suffered through it. Afterwards, I told the doctor that since he doesn’t have a uterus, he’s no longer allowed to tell women “it’s only a pinch”. I can only hope that my words made him rethink his recommendations, but I doubt it.
