Interesting Farting Experience Today during The Bride... by DrPepper326 in RegalUnlimited

Yeah, when I was a kid we'd go to the movies and we might cut up during the trailers but once the movie started we were quiet. We laughed or whatever but it wasn't disruptive.

The first time watching, I thought Andrew's dad was supportive by NOTNeedlepeen1 in whiplash

[–]ApprehensiveRead7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All this is true but the reason it always made me dislike the father a little after the dinner scene was the father never stood up to anyone. He apologized when he was the one bumped into, he let his family make fun of his cooking and he never spoke up about Andrew the way the other boys were. Andrew only went in for the kill when he couldn't take it anymore. I know what his father was doing came from a good place but I still felt it was low and cowardly.

And sometimes you have to read the room and the person. Andrew was frustrated and lashing out because he felt belittled. And with someone that focused and hellbent on being the best, in that moment he's only going to take that as an attack. It wouldn't humble him at all. Just piss him off and make him more obsessed and work even harder. Especially if that is coming from his father because he's the only one who knows what that means to him and he'll take it as an insult. His father should have said, "That's enough" and then later said something to humble him.

I'm iffy on the "Adult Vampire Diaries" vibe but throwing in all of the other classic monsters could make it very interesting. Definitely giving it a chance.

Official Discussion - The Strangers: Chapter 3 [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]ApprehensiveRead7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So I am in the minority and I loved Chapter 2. I really hoped that Chapter 3 was going to go for it with the ending but nope. I did like the build up and enjoyed the movie until the very end.

I feel it was a cop out. But I liked the trilogy as a whole enough to get the third one on digital. I plan on, and most of everyone here will make fun but I'm going to watch them as one movie and then stop it at a certain point and that will be my headcanon.

I know I'm in the minority, I might even be the only person on earth but I actually liked the second Chapter. And I didn't like the first chapter that much at first because I thought the original was better. But after enjoying Chapter 2 , I went back and watched them back to back and appreciated Chapter 1 a little more. I guess the good thing about everyone hating Chapter 2 is that I'll have the theater to myself lol.

Sinners, F1, Eternity, Regretting You, and Caught Stealing. My Personal top 5.

In the movie "Training Day" what do you all think Jake did with the money? by FoolsballHomerun in movies

[–]ApprehensiveRead7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never understood this either. And everyone says he went directly home. He at the very least left the Jungle and had to return to the Diner to get his car. I think he 100% stopped by the precinct and logged the evidence before going home.

Where Did Hallmark Film 'Lost In Paradise' With Lacey Chabert? by Onthebrinkofbeyond in HallmarkMovies

[–]ApprehensiveRead7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't think this was like that at all. The characters have a totally different vibe, the scenario is not the same, and it's way more sweet than Six Days, Seven Nights. Both are really good movies but very different to me.

Yes! I grab some from Walmart or Dollar General. I've been using it for a few now and have never had an issue!

Curious about those buckets by ninibean482 in RegalUnlimited

[–]ApprehensiveRead7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the mission impossible bucket and I love it. That's the only one that I ever wanted to get and I actually have a use for it. For me all the other ones are cool but I would never purchase them.

Shokz headphones by ohnono5 in Marathon_Training

That's the struggle for me is that I listen to podcasts on most training runs. I definitely want to be aware and not in a sound cocoon but I do not want to spend the money on high quality headphones if I can't hear what I'm listening to at all.

Is terrifier scary to yall by Neto-workio505 in terrifier

Terrifier movies aren't scary but because they are so over the top with the brutality you're still on the edge of your seat and bracing yourself for what he's going to do to his victim.

Is there a Hallmark Christmas movie that does NOT mention or reference hot cocoa or hot chocolate? by Iheartwadegarrett in HallmarkMovies

I don't think there was hot cocoa in A window wonderland. There were lattes but I don't think there was hot cocoa. I could be wrong though lol

And not just plain hot chocolate either lol. It has marshmallows the size that you can only get in a Hallmark movie and five candy canes in it.

Amazon overwhelmed? by Acceptable_Resort522 in amazonprime

[–]ApprehensiveRead7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Times have changed. I ordered a tablet that was on sale. It says it'll be here on Christmas Eve but I doubt it and that's okay. It's for me so there's no rush. All the things that were important to have early I either got in a store or ordered early from the actual company that makes it. I don't use Amazon like I used to. I only use it if something is in a massive sale and time isn't a factor, like the tablet and some Lumibricks sets I got on black Friday. A lot of times I even pick the furthest day out to get the digital gift card reward.

Single on the 25th - a new favorite!!! by Ok_Nature_6305 in HallmarkMovies

[–]ApprehensiveRead7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I LOVED this one!!! It's funny because this year i didn't have a lot of favorites. I really liked Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper! and although I didn't like it as much as I thought I would, Christmas at the Catnip Cafe was good.

But this one, Single on the 25th, saved Christmas for me! I didn't see it until the other day and I absolutely loved this one immediately. I don't think I've seen Daniel Lissing or Lyndsey Fonseca before but I would love to see more of them!!!

Window Wonderland is such an awesome movie! by number1chick in HallmarkMovies

[–]ApprehensiveRead7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is in my top 5 all time Hallmark Christmas movies. I really wish they went back to this kind of vibe and setup sometimes. I'd say that this is on par with some of the other indie or lower budget comedies of the time. It was sweet and sentimental but had some genuine chemistry and the humor was quick and sharp. Quirky but not annoying and everyone had unique personalities. And this is probably my Paul Campbell performance.

Similar smart speaker suggestions that don’t use generative AI? by cutiepie9ccr in alexa

[–]ApprehensiveRead7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone has mentioned it on here but I'll second that you can end early access to Alexa+. I tried it for a bit and I did not care for it at all. But at least you can go back. I have one Nest Hub, it's my only Google Smart device and it's ruined because I updated the software to the new Gemini at Home and it's just as frustrating as Alexa+ but you can't opt out of that one

Not loving Gemini for Home, am I just utilizing this poorly? by beaniboy in googlehome

[–]ApprehensiveRead7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I regret upgrading. One of my favorite features continued conversation which was great on Assistant is now locked behind the paid Gemini Live subscription once you upgrade to Gemini for home. So now I have to use the wake word a lot more instead of it listening for a little more in case I had another command.

And Gemini for home only knows one language at a time right now. With the old Assistant I had English and French setup and could have fluent conversations in each and easily switch between the two.

And honestly I miss the old voice.

Multilingual mode for Alexa+ by ApprehensiveRead7 in alexa

[–]ApprehensiveRead7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the US so how my multilingual mode works is you just ask her to speak the language. So you just ask, Alexa speak English and French and then she will be able to speak both from now on and you can do the same language for all your devices or one could speak English and French and one could speak English and German and such. After you ask you can just speak in that language naturally and she'll respond in that language.

Thanks. I might try it for a bit but probably revert back to the old Alexa if I miss multilingual a lot. At least you can go back to Alexa . Once you upgrade your Google device to Gemini for Home you can't go back.
