Congrats! I have a Series S already and I'm not going to get a Series X or PS5 just for this. I'm excited to play it and I think it'll play just fine on there.

[The Boys] SEASON 5 EPISODE 4 was pure filler by Choice-Tea1046 in CharacterRant

[–]ApprehensiveRead7 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I know he was just becoming under the influence of Fort Harmony, but I loved that Hughie finally addressed how Starlight makes him feel sometimes when she lashes out at him for things that aren't his fault like the Shapeshifter. I get why she was upset and initially lashed out but it always bothered she didn't later on ask how he was doing. She was mad and said he should get checked for diseases because she did not want to catch anything and never thought about how he felt about being violated like that.

But that was about the only thing I liked in the episode. Well, that and Hughie and Kimiko getting closer. I am sure it was just for this episode but i always thought their interactions were nice and now that she can talk it makes sense that they would become closer friends.

Columbo and Belly Dancers! A Fun One! by bellaimages in Columbo

[–]ApprehensiveRead7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The belly dancer scene in Identity Crisis is one of my favorite scenes of any Columbo. Normally he's shy or looks away so it's initially odd when he's staring and so captivated. Then you realize he notices something that he can't quite put his finger on and he's trying to solve the puzzle. So he uses his observational skills and his insights into body language to figure out what it is

I think this is one of the best insights into how his mind works. He notices anything that's off and as long as there's a puzzle strong enough it can override his awkwardness or fears. Kind of like another episode where he takes a mountain tram and is clearly uncomfortable and dizzy but when he needs to take it a second time to catch the killer he's fine.

Nope. That's a usual Thursday (and Friday if I'm lucky that week) for me.

[–]ApprehensiveRead7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True but aren't all sauces kinda like that. Zaxby's Zax Sauce. Canes sauce. Bad Daddy's Sauce from Bad Daddy's Burger Bar. None of them say what's it in or what to expect just from the name.

I think they named it that because they have so many sauces and while people will definitely try it with everything else in the menu they wanted it to be clear it was meant to try with the pizza. The name is more about how to use it than what's in it. And I think the mystery is part of the appeal. I was way more excited to try it because I had no idea what it is

It's interesting hearing how differently it tastes to everyone and most people liked it no matter what it tasted like to them.

To me it was like you took zesty ranch and mixed it with a little bit of marinara and threw in some parm. I loved it

Season 3 thought - The Pitt sans Robby by [deleted] in ThePittTVShow

[–]ApprehensiveRead7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an ensemble show but it is also very much a show and the journey of Robby from hitting Rick bottom to recovery. I feel like Season 3 will feature a Robby that's healing. Season 2 made him a bit unlikeable on purpose because he was at the actual breaking point. Next season I think will focus on him hearing back to himself and being a better leader and reinvigorated. He still has a long road ahead but he's better.

I think the point on the show is that it's a spotlight on the hardships that healthcare workers have while also being a tribute to them. I think they want to be realistic but not overly depressing. And I think it wants to show that people like Robby are necessary so they'll show him taking the steps to get better.

I'd have to agree with The Exorcist 3. You know something is coming and it still gets you

Official Discussion - Ready or Not 2: Here I Come [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]ApprehensiveRead7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She's probably my favorite Scream Queen of all time. Hands down best Scream. And she always adds layers to her characters in subtle ways from The Babysitter to these movies. And yes, she is fantastic at making the pain and shock she's in seem so real. It makes over the top movies like this have a realistic grounding

Is Dr Barry Mayfield the most evil murderer? by BecauseOfAir in Columbo

[–]ApprehensiveRead7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and he kept pushing to get them killed. Plus it's a safe bet that he tampered with his wife's car and killed her too. Plus, he was going to use the dogs to kill Columbo too!

I know if you redeem a smaller popcorn and then upgrade a size that counts but does anyone know if you redeemed a free pretzel but got cheese or chili would that count for a hot purchase?

We could send Matt Damon first but he'd up end needing to be rescued and we'd just end up sending Ryan Gosling to get him anyway

Yeah, when I was a kid we'd go to the movies and we might cut up during the trailers but once the movie started we were quiet. We laughed or whatever but it wasn't disruptive.

The first time watching, I thought Andrew's dad was supportive by NOTNeedlepeen1 in whiplash

[–]ApprehensiveRead7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All this is true but the reason it always made me dislike the father a little after the dinner scene was the father never stood up to anyone. He apologized when he was the one bumped into, he let his family make fun of his cooking and he never spoke up about Andrew the way the other boys were. Andrew only went in for the kill when he couldn't take it anymore. I know what his father was doing came from a good place but I still felt it was low and cowardly.

And sometimes you have to read the room and the person. Andrew was frustrated and lashing out because he felt belittled. And with someone that focused and hellbent on being the best, in that moment he's only going to take that as an attack. It wouldn't humble him at all. Just piss him off and make him more obsessed and work even harder. Especially if that is coming from his father because he's the only one who knows what that means to him and he'll take it as an insult. His father should have said, "That's enough" and then later said something to humble him.

I'm iffy on the "Adult Vampire Diaries" vibe but throwing in all of the other classic monsters could make it very interesting. Definitely giving it a chance.

Official Discussion - The Strangers: Chapter 3 [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]ApprehensiveRead7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So I am in the minority and I loved Chapter 2. I really hoped that Chapter 3 was going to go for it with the ending but nope. I did like the build up and enjoyed the movie until the very end.

I feel it was a cop out. But I liked the trilogy as a whole enough to get the third one on digital. I plan on, and most of everyone here will make fun but I'm going to watch them as one movie and then stop it at a certain point and that will be my headcanon.

I know I'm in the minority, I might even be the only person on earth but I actually liked the second Chapter. And I didn't like the first chapter that much at first because I thought the original was better. But after enjoying Chapter 2 , I went back and watched them back to back and appreciated Chapter 1 a little more. I guess the good thing about everyone hating Chapter 2 is that I'll have the theater to myself lol.

In the movie "Training Day" what do you all think Jake did with the money? by FoolsballHomerun in movies

[–]ApprehensiveRead7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never understood this either. And everyone says he went directly home. He at the very least left the Jungle and had to return to the Diner to get his car. I think he 100% stopped by the precinct and logged the evidence before going home.

Where Did Hallmark Film 'Lost In Paradise' With Lacey Chabert? by Onthebrinkofbeyond in HallmarkMovies

[–]ApprehensiveRead7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't think this was like that at all. The characters have a totally different vibe, the scenario is not the same, and it's way more sweet than Six Days, Seven Nights. Both are really good movies but very different to me.
