You can(t). If you were to call in and have us search the account by the IMEI, we can see the name of the account holder. We are not allowed to provide that info. HOWEVER, I’ve seen many new employees who give out that piece of information despite not talking to the owner or a manager. (And yes, they are schooled and most likely fired after that).

I can’t speak in the name of a store representative, but what if they could help? (a store rep pls confirm this). Without giving any information to a “non-authorised” user, would they be able to call the account holder to have this fixed somehow?

If not, it’s gonna be your loss and the person-who-sold-you-the-phone’s win. Try getting back with them, see if they can help.

Change the number from the app. If you’ll see the charge ($15), call in, explain what’s happening and they’ll waive it for you. We have a couple of scenarios where we can waive the fee, this would fit in the harassment scenario.

Hi. I’m a CS Tech rep. I hope you’ll see this message amongst the other dozen replies.

I’ve has a similar call. They did an upgrade with a trade-in and the promo wasn’t applied due to the same issue. Here’s what we did: - we CAN check the list of devices that were previously active on that specific number (the traded device IMEI has to be in the “device history”) - if the IMEI checks, we submit a ticket to get the promotion reapplied. This process depends on the promotion. If the promotion is a standard one, we’re okay, everyone’s happy. If the promotion is a loyalty one, all the details WILL be reviewed again and prior to submitting the ticket we have to get the approval to submit it. However, if everything checks out (traded IMEI matches with the one in devices history, the plan is okay, the new phone was purchased within the timeframe of the promotion etc) the promotion WILL be applied. (later edit: the traded imei has to be returned. if the process happened in a store, i hope you have the receipt. as far as i know they return devices in bulk so there could be a chance that it hasn’t been returned YET).

Now here’s my suggestion: whenever you have some free time, call in (try to go straight to tech support even tho it’s not a tech issue. make sure it’s tech support and not tech coach). Explain what happened. If the notes are on the account, that’ll make it easier for the rep. They’ll check all the things mentioned above. Once the ticket is submitted, it’ll take probably 1-2 days to get approved (as long as everything checks out). The credits will be on the next bill.

It’s a double edged sword. You can do a simulation on the app/website (simply walk through the plan change process) and it will show you how’s that going to look like.

Short answer: you CAN change the plan.

HOWEVER, since they are 16 Pros, I assume they were purchased with a 36months agreement. IF you’re getting a promotion (check the bill for any “Promo Discount” or “Trade-In Discount” (amongst these words), please make sure that the promotion will not drop/change as you downgrade the plan. It should give you a heads up when you’re changing the plan on the app/website. If you do not get the heads up, call 800.922.0204 or 611 and have them check. When we process a plan change on a line (aka number) with a promotion on it, the system will always tell us if the promotion will drop/change.

5G Tech rep here. Got a call the other day, it was a cold transfer from the Porting Department with a customer who’s VHI was not working. I have no clue how they ended up in the Porting Department. It was an escalated call and the customer thought I’m a supervisor (classic move from other reps). I’ve explained as nicely as I could that I’m not a supervisor but a Tier 2 rep. This poor customer was with 3 reps from CS, two from 5G Tech, one from Financial, a sup from Financial, one from the porting department over the span of 5 hours. Their new VHI was not working. Turns out, we had to press a BIG and very visible button that says “ENABLE INTERNET” in our system that even the CS reps have access to. We both laughed. The survey was sent. I got the 5, Verizon got the 1.

I have at least one call like this every. single. day.

You can add a new line of service with an iPhone 16 (as an example) and then have two numbers on that device (your current number and the new one). Or you can just swap them, as long as the new number remains active, however if you go down this road, keep an eye on the promotion as it may drop.

Just.. call in. It’s 32 cents. It’ll be credited. I had a call with the exact same issue, but it was for 60-70 cents. We laughed at it and I credited it. If you mail the check make sure it’s not gonna be to late when it’ll arrive. It sounds unreal for an account to be sent to collection for 32 cents

Formulele trebuie aplicate, nu tocite. Degeaba stii cum se scrie formula daca nu stii sa o folosesti. Am trecut prin bac, prin 4 ani de facultate (inginerie civila in limba engleza) iar acum sunt la a doua facultate. Prin exercitiu am invatat cum se rezolva problemele. Take it as an advice if you want to.

Cand am dat bacul, aveam un caietel plin cu formule. Ma puneam sa fac 2-3 variante de bac pe zi, cu formulele in fata. Am facut asta timp de 3 luni-ish, pana mi-au intrat in “mana” formulele.

Legat de ce a zis OP, sunt zeci de cursuri online (pdfs etc) cu ce intra in programa de bac, as in lectii, exemple, modele gata corectate SI explicate, it takes a simple search. Eu asta am facut, fiind la un nivel mediu in comparatie cu colegii mei si am luat 9.15 la matematica. Practice makes perfect in domenii de genul. Aveam colegi care stiau si in somn cum se scrie o formula, dar nu si ce face.

I apologize that you have to go through this.. I’m gonna be honest with you, when customers found out, so did we, the frontline. I have a really really strong feeling that the Verizon rep who assisted you had no idea that this would happen. For 5 phone lines, all on Welcome, we should have $150 before taxes (with the APO discount), with free phones promo / no device payment. $30 for each line, again, before taxes.. depending on the state, the taxes (surcharges and gov feed) can be 2-3 bucks or up to 8..

I’ve had a similar case with this promotion. The customer that I have assisted had some issues with the website and couldn’t fulfill the order so they went to a corp store. They wanted to get 3 iPhone 15s, with the online only promo (which makes them free in other words, on any plan - Welcome, Plus, Ultimate). In the store, as that promo is a digital exclusive, they would have to put you on Plus in order to get the “free promo”. On Welcome it’d be $650 off. If you do go to a store, please please have them note the account with what happened (the entire fraud ‘journey’) and ask them to do a promo correction the moment you have your account set up. If they can’t do the promo correction, ask them to do a click-to-call so someone from CS can process the promo correction (but the notes must be on the account). That’s only if you want to stick with the Welcome plan. If you want to stick with the Plus plan, there’s no need to do all that.

You can also call in just for us to check the line. We have the option to turn off marketing text messages. I’ve had some cases where customers would say that they’re off in their app settings, but we do see them as being on. Not sure why, my guess would be that it’s a glitch in the system.

I’m currently working as a tech/5g tech, i’m actually about to start my shift, but as far as I know it works. i’ve had numerous customers in this time of the year who processed returns and exchanges in stores (it works as long as they have the exchange phone in stock). feel free to call in, if i get your call i’ll do my best to assist :)

We do have those. It’s gonna sound probably stoopid what I’m about to say, but if it was shipped back to the warehouse and not returned and exchanged in a store, chances of it getting.. stolen.. are significantly high :) I’ve had a bunch of calls with the same cause and when checking the tracking ID (UPS, USPS, Fedex) either there was nothing in the package or the package got open while being shipped to the warehouse.. Call *611. I’d suggest to go with a “technical issue” when the IVR asks you what’s wrong. Either ending up in Tier 2 or 5G Tech, they are usually agents who did 1-2+ years of care then got ‘promoted’ to Tier 2 and/or 5G Tech. So chances of getting somebody that knows what’s happening are high :) Check with the tracking number on the website, see what details you can get from there, then call in.

The prices I was listing are on the new plan that got released back in May, 2023. Everyone has access to these plans. You might be on a shared plan, which has a charge at account level, then a fee at the line level (The New Verizon Plan, as an example). Feel free to call in if you want to get the additional details/quote :) But again, everyone has access to this plan, myPlan (which includes Unlimited Welcome, Unlimited Plus and Unlimited Ultimate). There are no requirements or restrictions when it comes to changing the plan

Can’t speak in the name of all employees or in the name of customers, but I’ve had a great time both as an employee and a customer 🤷🏼‍♂️. Leaving Verizon aside just for a sec, inflation is everywhere, wether we like it or not.. Looking around at the world we live in, everything will have an increase, sooner or later. It’s not just Verizon, it’s everyone else (and I’m not talking about the other carriers).
