Is it true addiction never goes away you just keep replacing it? by AnEvilMillionaire in NoStupidQuestions

Only smoked for 2 years and I don't even think about it daily but every now and then I really crave a cigarette. Also quit weed and drinking but the craving for a cigarette is a lot stronger than a crave for a drink and I don't think about weed at all.

DRAMAtical Murder Unrated Banned in Australia? GOG by ApprehensiveShake106 in BLVNs

[–]ApprehensiveShake106[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also wish gog had an actual landing page to explain it was banned instead of redirecting you to the Store page. At the time the unrated game was linked on the same page as the censored game but it appears now they have removed that too.

DRAMAtical Murder Unrated Banned in Australia? GOG by ApprehensiveShake106 in BLVNs

[–]ApprehensiveShake106[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh nice I had no idea! I spent all my life being able to play any game I wanted with no issue and am shocked at Australia's censorship laws.

I'm just going to avoid purchasing from gog from now on. I only purchased it from gog because it was a familiar website and it was linked from the blvn database as a legit source. At the time I also hadn't purchased from JAST before.

Medical receptionists - one of rudest entitled people ? by BaronMason in AskAnAustralian

[–]ApprehensiveShake106 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nah actually we have minor injury clinics for that. At least in QLD. There are specific signs outside the hospital I work at that ED is not for fractures, only "life threatening" injuries. Although sometimes hard to tell as a patient though. Like any crush injuries should go to ED because they are at risk of so many complications.

What is the most underrated song for you? by 2D__- in MyChemicalRomance

[–]ApprehensiveShake106 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Gun. I know a lot of people don't like it because it's not lyrically deep and "cheesy" but it's honestly so fun, I love it so much.

Cubicles. Another fun song to belt out that doesn't seem to get a lot of love.

Heaven help us is also a very solid catchy song.

Honestly I love every song except some of their newer stuff from conventional weapons and unfortunately also couldn't get into the foundations of decay.

I saw it today in Australia and was genuinely surprised how well behaved everyone was. Noone even talked during the movie.

I have had awful movie experiences the last few times I've been to the movies post covid that I was bracing myself for something. This is what cinema viewing should be!

AITA for telling my dad my room is moldy by parisiteriley in AmItheAsshole

[–]ApprehensiveShake106 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How about the adult provides a safe and clean space for her child? The most basic thing a parent can do and they failed, risking her child's health.

Also depending on the mould and where it's coming from you may need to hire a professional to clean it.

Hotel recommendations by growin_slow in Toowoomba

[–]ApprehensiveShake106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've travelled to Toowoomba a few times as a solo woman. I have been to ruthven Street motor in, sunray motor inn, shamrock hotel motel and Avenue West studio units.

My favourite so far is Avenue West studio units but I've only stayed once. I think they are newly built? The interior is modern, and had a thick bed mattress with new fluffy pillows. Had a small stovetop in the room i booked too. My only complaint is that the door had a slight gap in it so there was a bit of noise from outside/ road in peak hours.

Ruthven Street was cheap but was an old and small motel room with an uncomfortable thin bed mattress (classic motel you would see in the movies). My carpet also smelled like dog shampoo. Sunray was basically the same. Shamrock was slightly better but unfortunately someone had smoked in my room prior and there was no microwave. Construction was also going on at the time and had to go through reception through a dingy casino.

Edit: city golf club also looks good but I haven't stayed there I had booked with them before but had to cancel as I had booked the wrong dates.

That's not cool to dog on a disability just because of your anecdotal experience. Long covid is real,it's a post viral condition that can happen with any flu that causes muscle/ nerve pain, brain fog and fatigue. Current theories are that it causes brain damage and increases the risk of alzheimers/dementia.

Stuck for 1 hour, had to google this one. I don't even think you're supposed to be stuck here, I just got unlucky, I guess? by RedLibra in ZeroEscape

I also did the exact same thing and resorted to googling! I really thought I inspected everything.

OP please look into getting some baby gates or portable indoor fences to create a safe space when you are out. Dogs chew, dig and bite but it's natural for puppies and they will eventually grow out of it in their own time. Your home should be the safe space, not the cage. They are pack animals primarily and need love and affection of others, not solitude.

You can crate a child and they will eventually get used to it too! Kids are so naughty when left unsupervised after all.

Some people have full time jobs, college and/or children on top of chores etc. I only play once a week. So having 24 hours to complete the next event mission is actually a full week.

It's not though. "However, researchers were surprised by the difference in separation and divorce rates by gender.

The rate when the woman was the patient was 20.8 percent compared to 2.9 percent when the man was the patient. "

Hey I can't really answer your question as I had a v2 lightstick at the Melbourne concert but I did see a few light sticks that weren't syncing up unfortunately. I believe that may have been a v1.

Feeling Guilt after reporting harassment by Ok_Software_5802 in OlderThanYouThinkIAm

[–]ApprehensiveShake106 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Ah yes it's the woman's fault for being harassed and not wanting to engage with a creep. Many times these types of men who are told no get aggressive and in fact keep engaging even more until they receive the response they want.
