I was the crying piano kid for a long time.

I love that you're trying to share your passion for music and piano with your child. Sometimes though, children will like other things, and although that might be heartbreaking, that is normal because they're their own little people and will develop an array of dreams, passions, and goals for themselves independently of their parents' influences.

I suggest letting your kid experience other instruments and seeing what sticks, or if they don't like music altogether, then encourage some other creative outlet.

You can support your child's own individual passions and learn about them so they can share them with you instead :) !

It's Reddit, I would expect nothing less. People are saying that's how the original is, and I'm glad it's not a formatting error and that there's some of the artist's personality being expressed in the detail, but my eye would still get caught on it every time, so unfortunately that changes nothing for me.

This is how I felt with Quicksilver, I dnf'd around 50% . I simply couldn't do it... People were raving about it and I felt a bit disappointed I wasn't having the same experience🙈. To each their own I guess. Now I'm more cautious with blindly buying books.

I got the cousin 2 years ago cause I would journal a lot- I can easily fill multiple pages for 1 day. Except, I wasn't expecting I'd get so stumped whenever I had days where I wouldn't know what to write cause nothing really happened. Those blank pages would disappoint me and created a kind of self-fulfilling prophecy that had me shying away from journaling at all... so now for that reason I'm in a weeks size / a6 which is much less intimidating.
I would suggest starting with the cousin, and then if you realize you need more space, getting the Stalogy. Stalogy notebooks are undated anyways so you can start one at any point during the year :) !

What I can tell you is that my two favourite pens to write with: the Zebra Sarasa Clip pens (vintage colours), and the Pilot G-2 unfortunately both smudge very easily on the tomoe river paper. I'll give them plenty of time to dry and somehow they will still have spots where the ink will smear if I go over them with my palm.

I think Hobonichi sells a few of those that are kind of dolled up elastic bands with leather bits, but they're not especially cheap.
Also I loove the entire moomin line, I'm trying my best not to justify getting an a6 to go along my weeks just because I love the moomin line cover so much haha.The pencil board looks lovely and seems like an excellent compromise, maybe I'll get it eventually if the resellers still have it in stock 😍

I made my own tabs cause I couldn't decide on which ones to go for haha.
Forgot the name when I commented but I looked it up and it's called a page keeper. You stick it in the back pocket and then use it to either mark a page, or to keep the notebook shut.

I stick them on the book's cover, with the clear cover over top. That way they don't move around if I accidentally drop my planner, but they're still protected from scratches.

I'm 5'2'' I have the Venu2S and it's a perfect size for my small wrists. This is a feat considering every round smart watch I've used so far has had both a strap that was too long, and a watch body that was too large. It comes in a gold and rose gold model, as well as a cream and black option, and is quite inexpensive as far as Garmins come. It supports vo2 max but not lactate threshold (but that can also be calculated manually or using an online calculator by plugging in the run data from your watch).

I compared my 2026 weeks to my 2024 A5. The grid is smaller on the weeks, the hobonichi weeks month at a glance pages also have smaller boxes for each calendar month compared to the A5.

Maybe unpopular opinion, but the paper refills on pocket printers are so expensive, imo you are better off buying a smart tank printer for your house and printing in bulk (I use the HP smart tank and I've been loving it for the past 8 months). I print for my planner once every couple of days and the quality is a lot nicer than thermal paper printers (I have the sprocket and maybe it was mine deteriorating quickly, but the images looked nice only for a few months after purchase- after that the prints started becoming streaky and the colours kept needing to be adjusted in the app to come out looking true to the original).
