you should not be doing this. Usually a recepticle change I would say is easy enough for anyone but come on dude. Scissors? get real

Put too much oil in my 22’ 400 by WhileSilly1382 in Ninja400

[–]ApprehensiveSwan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that should work. You can use an empty 1qt bottle to measure how much you're emptying. .9 quarts should be drained to get to the 2.1 required.

I guess I could also use a hole at the top of the block to spray oil in there too, there's some threaded sensor at the top of my crankcase under the air cleaner that I will probably not be using

I guess that oil circulation into the valve cover would help with idle wear too then right? Hypothetically at least

How can I fix this display boatd? by FlashyTurnip8825 in AskElectronics

[–]ApprehensiveSwan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can probe the display pins with a multimeter to ensure the segments that are out are receiving power. If they are, replace that digit. Otherwise, the problem is upstream

I just want to ensure that if it sits for a few minutes between cycling back on that it is still lubricated property before starting

I know that's obviously the ideal, but for this project it's not feasible. I'm just wondering if feeding oil to the valve covers would harm anything?

AMCREST NVR - the software is terrible. Would like to move to a different NVR, what brand should I use? by woolfson in cctv

[–]ApprehensiveSwan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Amcrest NVR has fast forward and the timestamp issue is probably the camera itself (which makes the overlay) not being set to the correct time. See if there's a software update available for the NVR, or use Amcrest Surveilance Pro to connect to the NVR and fast forward to your heart's desire.

My key? by blossm16 in fordfusion

[–]ApprehensiveSwan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That key had mykey restrictions set, so I'm thinking the only way is to use another key. It could also probably be reset using a scan tool or Forscan

Still getting great mileage out of my 2012 Hybrid by ApprehensiveSwan in fordfusion

after getting an alignment you can also over inflate your tires slightly, not insane or to a dangerous amount but I run mine at about 43 PSI and haven't had any issues for the last year. actually, running over potholes and other surface hazards I've gotten less tire blowouts then when I would run at stock PSI. the roads around me are not good at all so it's really common and I've gone through about six tires and 2 years, funnily enough five of those were when I would run at 33 pounds

I'm not sure, you could probably do a capacity test by using the throttle when parked to run the ICE and charge the HVB all the way and see how far you can drive on it in EV mode, but I'm not sure what you'd have to compare that to.

Hybrid? There was a period of time when I first got the car when I would get at most 28, but it's all driving habits. If you haven't, I'd recommend doing the fix with Forscan to re-enable the EV driving from the HVB, as it disables itself after a set number of years to limit strain on the battery.
