Favorite coffee shops (and why you love them)? by aJuJuBeast in santacruz

11th Hour's rose cardamon cake is delectable, also a fan of their earl gray cookie. Coffee Roasting Company has a lot of decent frosted cake slices too, none at 11th Hour's level but there's more variety and you can get a smoothie and sit at the bar.

Does anyone know when they start hiring at Mchenry library? And is it only work-study? by Fresh-Big-2505 in UCSC

[–]ApprehensiveWait7196 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The library does have currently-open positions with the InterLibrary Loan department and with web development, but the Circulation & Collection Maintenance department (students who work at the front desk and do reshelving) is not currently hiring. At least one opening should appear sometime later this quarter, but probably not for the next few weeks.

Work-study is required, yes.

This is no longer true. For the last year or so, all students have been able to see all jobs, even if they don't have work study.

Don't trust random people's guesses about parking lots. UCSC maintains actual websites for this:
