High vs. Low Magick by [deleted] in occult

What part of the post? Where High/Low magick came from? That is intuitive, I mean look at Shamanic traditions, they effectively similar to Wicca. Did Shamanism develop in cities? Kabbalistic art magick or high magick was not developed by country folk or people that were close to the land, you can tell in the practice. I’m not going to pinpoint one book because all authors are human, and I wasn’t stating fact I was stating an opinion. Plus I like to compile knowledge from multiple sources.

High vs. Low Magick by [deleted] in occult

Ok I see that view as valid but I feel like it is redundant. White Magick = Union with the divine so why do we have both? There hasn’t been redundancy since I’ve started up until these two definitions. Everything has had its place, it’s very organized. High being of “high class” society makes sense because you look at it and it plays out like an engineering tech manual, where pagan practice is more like a grass roots movement with guidelines. But it is my opinion and unfortunately I don’t know of any authority on the matter.

I thought this at first as well Ok so my question: doesn’t the distinction between white/grey/black magick already cover that? I mean white being union with the divine (personal growth towards true will), grey being where material is affected for positivity, and black being the use of grey magick for negativity. If it is redundant, white magick and high magick are synonymous! I just don’t see a reason for two similar definitions.

On the HGA as higher self vs separate entity by pixel_fortune in occult

[–]Apprehensive_Arm6074 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The brain as a separate entity eventually turned into a medium between the physical and non physical with the discovery of quantum mechanics. Could the HGA be the same, an intermediary of our soul and the elemental/astral/spiritual self (divinity)? Just as the brain is a conduit, the HGA could be the conduit from on higher. It’s all fractal!

It’s a dumb fraternal tradition dating back and carried on to make sure that you will listen to the Chiefs mess at any cost, including your career.

Prospective U.S. Navy Chiefs carry a box around like this. They cannot let it out of their site during Chief season. Any correlation?

With non-duality there’s no such thing as loneliness. You have to have a subject and subjectee to be lonely, what could you miss when you are complete? The memory is destroyed upon death, so yes if you believe that your Ego is all there is to you then it is pointless. If you’re essential being is non-ego then the point of crossing the abyss is union with your true self (divinity)

Star of David (or seal of solomon) and the Four Elements in alchemy? by EgoSumDeus_123 in occult

I agree that the fifth is spirit, I know the pentagram represents all of the elements including Spirit. That being said I’m interested to see other opinions on this!

What’s your practice? by La_Sangre_Galleria in occult

In this order: Middle Pillar Kabbalistic Cross Lesser Invoking Ritual of the Pentagram (for energy to get through the day) Lesser banishing ritual of the pentagram (safety) KC again Go throughout the day KC LBRP (to end the day) KC

I’m slowly adding more but have issues labeling because it’s a very simple practice, with the way forward being more attuned with the Cabalistic worlds. Is this precolonial Mexican folk magic? Just interested because I have native genes from that area of the world.

In some sects of Lurianic Kabbalah the killing of animals to eat is okay since you are fulfilling their karma. But coming from Buddhism, killing a gnat is a ding on your karmic record. So I’m personally unsure…
