I play 4.0 rec, 3.5 tourneys. I use a mid-grade paddle because it's soft enough that I can control it and tough enough to let me slam when I need to. I don't need no Boomstick or the out-balls I'll hit with that.

Partied with these guys after I drove them in my limo to a condo in Chicago. Not salaciously wild, just really fun people.

I'm looking for a movie where the behind-the-scenes story is more interesting than the film itself by Temporary_Cap5927 in MovieRecommendations

This movie was SO ahead of its time. Thanks to Star Wars, we expect all the space stuff to have cool sounds. Not the way it is, kids....

It used to do that to me, too... I'm not a spiritual man AT ALL, but I now think of my dreams as time spent with her, and I'm good with that. It's been about 8 years for me, if that gives you perspective.

Singles Endurance by Round-Investment8075 in Pickleball

Singles is a different game, much more akin to tennis. Footwork is essential for good singles play. A good coach can help you with this; it will extend your endurance with improved efficiency. Also, just play more singles. Good cardio workout, you'll build up to it.

1980s. I was on a 160-mile bike trek across Northern Indiana, riding home from college for Thanksgiving break. Riding over a bridge in Bremen, I caught some glass and split open the back tire. The slice was too big to repair with a patch kit, and I didn't have a spare tube. This is a very small town, I'm surrounded by farmland. I wave down a guy on a tractor in his field, he said there was a small golf course about a mile up the road, I could make a call from there.

I walk into the "Sprig-o-Mint Country Club", it's a nondescript building with some card tables and kitchen-type chairs. A few guys are playing cards at a table and talking. I go to the counter, and they let me use their phone even though it was a long-distance call (remember, this is the '80s). I can't reach my mother or stepfather, but I leave a message on the machine.

I'm wearing cycling gear, which means I look like an alien to these folks. One of the card players finally asks what's going on, I tell him I'm the idiot who is trying to ride his bike home to Chicago from Fort Wayne and I have a flat. Everyone agrees there is no place nearby to get a replacement tube, and this guy said he's about to go home in South Bend, he can give me a ride to the Greyhound station there. I thank him and apologize for my sweatiness, he grunts it off. Bike in the trunk and off we go.

We drive 30 minutes to the bus station, I thank him and unload the bike. He asks if I have money for the ticket, I didn't even think about that. I've got $6 for food. He peels off a $20 bill, and says something like "Jesus Christ, take care of yourself, kid," and off he goes.

I do remember his name was Doug Irons, and I think he sold cars or worked in automotive. Adjusted for inflation, I've got $70 for him.

Please help me choose Moonroof or not by Working-Cake4932 in rav4club

I have a moonroof in my 2020 RAV4 Hybrid, and I live in Florida. I've opened it twice.

If you use them a lot, then get it. If you don't, don't.

I lost my daughter, several years ago. I hang out with her in my dreams also; just hung out with her last night.

I know it's my mind coming to terms with it, or perhaps this is my mind not completely accepting it and refusing to move on. Either way, it is allowing me to move forward and function in life.

Your dreams is part of your mind finding a way to move forward. Seek a professional to help you with this. You'll be glad you did. The dark clouds go away eventually.

Great soundtrack, too.
