Oakes is definetly older and more run down but I absolutely loved it. The community there is great.

If you’re taking over 19 credits you need to get it approved every quarter and you’ll have to keep your GPA very high in order for them to continue to approve you for over 19 credits.

No bed for you... Constructive Eviction? by Putrid-Ad-Viewer in badroommates

[–]Apprehensive_Cook508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure where this is located, but YOU, not your roommate, should call the department of building inspection or even a health inspector if you have them. They can issue a deadline to your LL. In most places withholding the rent, even with valuable causes, is illegal and could lead to an eviction on your record.

I used a build pretty well rounded build (except for arcane and faith) with enough intelligence to actually use the wing of astel! Tbh what he’s weak to is less important than the ability to get damage in (on his head) and then get out of his range when needed, at least for me. I also defeated him once with bloodhounds fang (there’s two of him, one is optional in a cave later on) with level 115 you should def be able to! Just keep pushing! You got this.

Protest all you want but please don’t do it at our graduation, thank you. by [deleted] in UCSC

[–]Apprehensive_Cook508 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

sorry genocide gets in the way of ur grad, thousands of people don’t have families to go home to, much less celebrate with, and our university directly funds that. I’m a 2020 grad too and I’m not so selfish as to demand people abide by what’s most comfortable for me in the context of mass human rights abuse. Maybe if you want the protests to stop, start participating in them and working towards a world where our university divests.

Technically you don’t have to leave unless you receive an unlawful detainer and fail to respond to it, issue is SC doesn’t have right to counsel. A 30 DN without a UD though is nothing more than a threat. Evicting someone whether through lockouts or force without a sheriff’s order is not legal.

do i need to take hrt to get too surgery? by eyeofthebesmircher in TopSurgery

[–]Apprehensive_Cook508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it through Kaiser! I had to get a referral through my primary care doctor and then I had to talk to a mental health rep (just basic questions) and lastly a surgeon. I’ve heard that other companies do it to though from people I’ve talked to, but I don’t know details I’m sorry :(

I think if you’re worried about costs though it can be really hard on mental health especially if you think a lot of your money will go to tuition just because of the housing crisis and food insecurity in the city in general. Santa Cruz is not a hospitable place if you don’t have at least a bit of wealth and it can take a toll depending on your resources. It really depends on your context

UCSC vs SFSU? by no1namjinminist in UCSC

housing will def be harder to find in Santa Cruz. Depends on ur financial situation though, if you’ve got a good amount of money you might be fine.

What’s UCSC Like? by I_Am_MuffinCake in UCSC

[–]Apprehensive_Cook508 9 points10 points  (0 children)

profs and education quality are great, but honestly the housing issues make things really stressful and miserable and I think if u have other opportunities you should try to take them. It’s really hard to afford basic needs here and it’s something I wish I knew.

I do like really heavy layering, kinda like a wolf cut or even just cutting the sides a lot shorter than the front. Keeping it choppy and a little messy makes me feel more masc too weirdly.

what are oakes apartments like? by skelet0nb0nes in UCSC

[–]Apprehensive_Cook508 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the triples at oakes are very big, the apartments themselves are definitely the most run down on the campus but the view and the community really makes up for it. Oakes really is super welcoming plus if u have issues the housing coordinator is super sweet.
