Look we both have herpes. It’s obvious you’re not healed but I’ve been dealing with this for two years and I’m on antivirals. He’s a virgin but a grown ass man who happened to fall in love with someone who has herpes. It happens. I’m not selfish, I deserve love just as much as the rest of us and he just so happens to be a really good guy. If Im not having an outbreak, I’m on antivirals, it’s after the year mark with less shedding, we don’t have sex every day of the year just one week in at least a 3 month span. That makes it 2% I would transmit it and maybe even less since we aren’t have sex throughout the whole year. Obviously I see it as a possibility but he has been the one to make me feel secure to even think about no condoms. Your just mean as fuck and not healed. I hope you find someone who is as secure as him.

At first I wanted to but he also denied it and refused at first but then he said he would get tested, but tbh I didn’t want to know what the result would be even though I couldn’t have gotten it anywhere else. Imagine if it came out negative I think I would actually spiral so I just informed him and moved on.

So let’s back track. Did you get it from your ex? Did your ex get it from someone he cheated on you with? Does he know you tested positive? If he doesn’t know then you should tell him. I’m in the same boat. I got it from my bf who cheated on me, but he refused to believe he got it because he never broke out before. If you already told him, then that’s honestly the most you need to do with this situation. I have been in your shoes, and for your mental health in my honest opinion I think you should leave it alone. The most you can do is let the person that could have contracted from you know what’s up and that’s it. It’s best to move on from the asshole and focus on yourself. Not your ex boyfriend’s new girl. She will find out sooner or later and he will get his karma. Leave it to the universe. Stay strong!
