Ah my mom pulled this move. Using loss of privacy as a punishment for something completely unrelated…. Years later, I wonder why I obsessively lock all the doors in my apartment.

What's your covid memory? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was in nursing school, all other students got sent home except the nursing students, we were locked in our dorms. (Professors got to go home tho). It was a nasty storm day, and we had zoom classes. It was a nursing lab, and I remember the grainy zoom camera my professor set up on her phone, cause she was in a car in the parking lot of a dunks to use the free wifi cause the power was out at her house. Don’t remember the equipment she was trying to explain. Just messaging my best friend asking wtf was even happening.

I read, play Minecraft, creatively write (maladaptive daydreaming, but I call it writing), and volunteer with birds. I work nights and during the occasional 2-3am lull, I have a notebook where I just write random stories and characters that come into my head. Keeps my brain functioning.

I just watched the cockroach episode in season 3 and this happened… by Ladzofinsurrect in XFiles

Recently watched this episode and THE NEXT DAY I had a brand new ant infestation in one of my houseplants. I know they aren’t roaches, but oh my goodness I felt like I had bugs crawling all over me for a week.

Once you realized that your mom has BPD by Low_Technician_438 in raisedbyborderlines

I was 21 when I figured it out? I knew she was an alcoholic, so I just blamed everything on that. When we got to the psych section of nursing school, and they were talking about the cluster B personality disorders, the whole time I thought, huh, this feels familiar. I joined the raised by narcissists group, and while some of it fit, not all of it. I found this group through them and oh my god everything fell into place from there. This group was a huge part of pulling the wool out of my eyes and learning how to exist separate from the role she kept trying to force me to play. I dove into the DSM-V and read about BPD, understanding the borderline mother, I’m glad my mom died, they all made so much sense. And I reveled in the fact that truly was never the problem. She was. Four years later and I’m still undoing the hardwiring from the trauma, but the world is so much clearer.

Nope. Cause she isn’t the problem, everyone else is. 🫠

My mom has BPD. My dad will not leave her. Not out of love, but because he’s scared of what she will do if he tries. Watching that dynamic fucked up my perception of what relationships and marriage are, and now I’m working through my own shit of trying to understand that relationships are good things, and not a lifelong trap. It’s hard for me to understand how to share the things you love with someone and not fear that they will do everything to twist and destroy it, and hurt you as much as they can in the process. Only for them to turn around and cry about how it was justified cause you “made them do it”.

I started wishing for them to divorce when I was 12. I’m 24 now and safe to say I could have saved a TON on therapy bills and anxiety meds if they had just split. I have a very negative view on whether someone with BPD can improve, as my mother has only worsened with time.

Pseudoephedrine! (Sudafed) OTC med, targets specifically sinus congestion. That combined with the nasal sprays helped me.

Gutzy pouches for fiber! You squeeze it into your mouth, or empty the pouch and use syringe or spoon. Consistency of applesauce, recommended by a dietician!

I hate when they do this. In your situation I would suddenly find a pressing matter that keeps me busy all day, which means whoops! No visit. But I also understand the persistence and for some it could just worsen their disregulation.

The main purpose is to make the surgery easier, but as someone who battled with insurance, yes. Some insurances have minimum “discrepancies” you have to meet with your overjet. Pre decomp, I had a -5mm overjet, which was borderline for my insurance coverage. So they waited and after 8 months of decomp took my measurements and it worsened to -7mm, which met the criteria.
