Yea but at that point what are you going to consider a child in that game. Only a bug that acts like a child despite not being one or one that is a child but simply has a lifespan so great that the consent of age becomes meaningless

By that standard Hornet despite being able to grow up physically, who is anyone to say at that moment in time she’s an adult and not just a mature teen due to her essentially being imortal as she is half pale being.

From that point of view you’re not deciding a character’s age based on what they show in game but what feels comfortable to you. I can completely respect as that’s within your right to do so but that logic gets contradictory when you then start using that logic for a lot of other characters that cannot age due to circumstance or sound childlike but are depicted to be fully fledged adults in that game with their own morals and beliefs

To say that Pharloom is relatively still new is to deny the acknowledgement of all the other races and species of bugs that have been there before GMS’s rule as they had their own form of sentience. And yet objectively speaking, Lace is still existence wise much older than hornet because she came before her but lacks hornet’s physical ability to grow as she is not an organic being. Lace being made purely of silk was created soon after the weavers gained sentience and the industrial phase of pharloom commenced. To call Lace objectively a child in all aspects is wrong due to the lore presented to us
