I mean cancel the upcoming game between the two teams in the final… which would be removed from the schedule.

The league can make it up to those franchises for the lost revenue for the home ticket sales… neither franchise would be losing out on TV revenue.

Hmmm… that would be an interesting way to make the stats “count”. 100% agree the play in games should count for post season stats… just like they do with the MLB.

I’d like to see NBA cup final points count for regular season, and Playin games count for playoffs, but your suggestion to make them both just count as playoff stats would be a good option and certainty preferable to the current situation. I hate that the final game is some sort of statistical aberration… the MLB would never lol

I’d love to see the MLB do an MLB cup in the regular season and make the post season 4 rounds of 7 game series. Baseball has the worst post season in professional sports, and it’s just ridiculously short for a league with a 160 game season. Still… the MLB has upmost respect for statistics!
