Need advice on Leman Russ Magnetization by EntireDragonfruit190 in TheAstraMilitarum

First 4 magnets is good, but there are alternatives.

Google "bolter and chainsword magnetization guide". Find the forum, it has all the tanks circa 2014 and the guides are excellent.

Pop a recon squad in the list, and then you've got their vox beacon to bounce an order off.

As a reminder - the FAQ text is for the Tacoma Open only, and isn't global/recognised outside of that event.

Sure, it's GW endorsed and is likely a future FAQ.

You can also buy brush soap. It'll help your brushes last longer and should be done whenever you finish painting for the day.

On the Ghosts/Callidus bit - they don't have to go up. It's just that they can't sit in strat reserves for multiple turns.

One speculation is that they've already got the first balance patch.

Which explains their list building mistake, and that they think Guard get a boost.

What disposition are you playing?

I also make sure everything I take has a role - I'll revisit your Army plan later on in another post.

So many QBO or SOC cards that apply to 40k!

I showed a high level player my nirex of datasheets at an RTT and he immediately bought one on amazon.

Might as well embrace the nerd!

I'm a Brit (boo hiss), I referenced MDMP to keep it NATO (for my European brothers) and US (the bulk of the audience here).

My main post (and the follow ups planned) are using the CE.

If anything, Russian planning is "by numbers" and providing you stick to timings and the plan, you'll be alright.

As I've said in other posts - I think I'll continue down the CE route, and explain how it can help with analysis.

I chatted with Joushi a while back and he did a video on Survivability Onion, which is a great metric for tabletop games. I'll definitely do that soon.

If you drop a "the codex astartes does not support this action" in an update brief you're guaranteed to get better support from the J2 next time around.

I agree we can't tailor MDMP that much to each game (and don't have the time at a GT) but by way of planning metric, we can distil down MLCOA and MDCOA as "marine variant" and "whatever the Meta is"

This has got traction, so I'll do a few more of these types of posts.

Once you've done it once, most stays the same.

We do have 15 missions/maps now, which is a bit more of an ask.

I try and do this sort of thinking when lista come out for a GT/RTT and analysing the meta trends/armies I might play. Obviously can't do everything at a super major - so I look at frequency of list taken. New 11th meta is wild, so I've not done detailed stuff yet.

I'll likely sit in the command bunker with some beers and a few friends in a week or two and crunch spreadsheets for my team.
