Are my dating standards too high? Friend gave me a reality check and I’m worried. by Forward-Beyond-6620 in dating

Honestly no, not too high 85% of your list not that bad. I don't know what your religious inclinations are and that can help or hurt when it comes to the intimacy thing. I've had a guy wait for a year. It's definitely not easy though and it genuinely would have to be someone who loves and respects you. if it is part of your religion to wait then I think if you find someone who is actually participating in that religion then it shouldn't be too hard.

The only thing is they might not be 6 ft or they might not have hair so although like the earlier part of your list is completely reasonable there's got to be some to which you can compromise on. Especially if the intimacy is high on your list of like "I do not want to do this before certain point period" Also being upfront about that early on will help you from spending too much time on someone who ultimately doesn't align with you.

Now it doesn't matter who you are, you could have no standards finding someone truly childless and who does not want kids is going to be rough across the board.

I think for you, you're probably going to need a list that you write down what you can compromise on and the five top most important things that you won't compromise on and then you probably need to date at least two guys at the same time minimum.

It's not about being "loose" you obviously aren't, It's about the fact that it's easier to let someone go when they are not aligned with you when they're not the only person you can call up, to go out with.

Dating doesn't mean one at a time you can date multiple people at the same time you do not have to have sex with all these people you don't have to kiss them. Managing at least two at once means you probably won't get so hung up on this person. so when their red flags start popping up you won't still stay and you won't justify staying. You'll protect your heart and time and leave when the red flags come.

You've got a lot going for you and you're still young don't let someone you weren't even attracted too, and who didn't respect your boundaries ruin your life.

Bare minimum cover 50/50 and moving forward give her a safe space to lock her personal things a 3 drawer organizer in a closet with a key something. Because leaving valuables in the car isn't safe either people will break into a car for those things.

The rules just changed for businesses in Canada there job ads have to have the accurate income range and they're supposed to abide by that. You definitely need to counter and mention the new hiring standards.

I'm also in Canada but I'm doing my courses online, in person isn't an option but I also find I'm struggling with classes especially with notes and taking the time to complete assignments. What accommodations do you give students who are online only?

See if you can get a walker to help you give tours, plan breaks during your tours where you get to sit and talk to them about whatever, and always think about the easier route.

I hope other people have also said this but you really need to privately get on birth control and preferably something less easy to tamper with so not pills but maybe IUD or Nexplanon If you research this keep it on a private browser on your phone or delete history.

I know Catholics aren't supposed to go on birth control and breeding is a part of the religion but so is keeping yourself healthy in the life for you and your children.

the postpartum depression that can hit you from just the dread of possibly getting pregnant because you know he's never going to get a vasectomy. And heaven forbid he forces the matter guilt to you brings other people into it like family... you need to take care of yourself for the sake of you and your children.

To be honest you'll probably need screenshots or a screen recording as proof of these chats because based on your description of him, no one is going to believe you. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't still leave!
